6.3.C. - Page 14
9. Vehicle Towing. For the first year of this Agreement, City, at its own cost, shall
have towed any unauthorized vehicle left in the Parking Spaces after 2:00 a.m. Monday
through Friday, except for County holidays, provided, however, that the City shall not
have towed any vehicles belonging to County employees that display a placard issued
by the County, as described below in this Section 9, that authorizes such vehicles to
remain in a Parking Space after 2:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. In the event City
fails to have unauthorized vehicles towed as set forth herein, County may, at City's cost,
have such unauthorized vehicles towed.
Within ninety (90) days of the date of this Agreement, County shall issue parking
placards to identify vehicles belonging to County employees and the County shall
promptly inform the City of the forms of placards that authorize County employees to
remain in a Parking Space after 2:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. The County shall
promptly notify the City of any changes to the County's placard program.
County and City agree to meet the requirements of the Vehicle Code in order to legally
tow vehicles as required by this Section.
10. Signs. City, at its own cost, shall modify or replace existing signs and
install additional signs in, on or about the Parking Structure and Parking Lot as
reasonably necessary to post the City Hours of Operation, inform the public in the
appropriate use of the Parking Spaces, direct the public for its safety and convenience,
and minimize interference with the County's use of its parking facilities. City shall not
modify, replace or install any sign on County-owned property without prior review and
written approval by the County Manager.
11. Combined Courts Parking Fees. City shall waive the fee charged to the
Combined Courts of the County of San Mateo for the shared use of parking meters
located on Arguello Street between Brewster Avenue and Marshall Street.
12. Graffiti Abatement. The Parties agree that they shall evenly split the cost of any
graffiti abatement work performed on the Parking Structure and the Parking Lot during
the term of this Agreement. The County shall perform such work and will periodically
invoice the City for its share of the reasonable cost of the graffiti abatement work. The
City shall pay such invoices within thirty days of receipt.
REV:02-12-16 VR
ATTY/AGR/2016/AMENDMENTS/AMEND NO.3 COUNTY OF SAN MATEO—AMENDED&RESTATED COOPERATIVE AGR
