47. Repair or Replace Street Infrastructure - The applicant shall replace or repair <br /> street, curb, gutter, driveway approaches, sidewalk and streetscape treatment to <br /> City standards and as determined by the City Landscape Architect. <br /> [SDR][ENGINEERING] <br /> 48. Street Design and Driveways - Changes to streets or driveways, including <br /> replacement of abandoned driveways, and changes to color curb markings, shall <br /> conform to Engineering Standards and require approval of the City Engineer. All <br /> new curb ramps shall meet the current Caltrans standards for ADA access. <br /> [SDR][ENGINEERING] <br /> Fire and Safety <br /> 49. Elevator Requirements — The following requirements for elevators apply: <br /> [SDR][BUILDING] <br /> a. One elevator shall be available for use as an accessible means of <br /> egress in case of emergency. <br /> b. One elevator shall be connected to backup generator power in order to <br /> remain operable during emergencies. This elevator shall be provided <br /> with appropriate signage and shall extend to all floors including the <br /> lower levels of the parking structure <br /> c. All additional elevators shall be connected to battery backup with <br /> sufficient power to bring the elevator to the exit level in the event of an <br /> emergency. <br /> d. All elevators shall be equipped with smoke curtains. <br /> 50. Emergency Access — Install at the entrances; (1) keypads programmed with a <br /> code for police, and (2) maps showing room numbers and locations within the <br /> building for immediate access and improved response in the case of an <br /> emergency. Sales and Use Taxes — For commercial projects with a valuation of over $10 <br /> million, register with the Board of Equalization to create an ID prior to project <br /> construction and operation. This maximizes the City's allocation of sales and use <br /> taxes associated with project construction. Hours of Construction — Construction activity is permitted between 7:00 a.m. and <br /> 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except as permitted on weekends by the <br /> Building Official, and shall adhere to the City's Noise Ordinance.
