A parking payment system including multi-space meters in the Premium . t <br /> Zone, an option for a parking equipment upgrade in the Value Zone, vendor <br /> hosted web-based CMS, alternates, and all associated hardware/software I I I <br /> shall be provided for the City of Redwood City. <br /> B. Parking Payment System hardware and software features: :3 <br /> 1. Multi-space meters shall be installed on-street and in parking lots in the - <br /> Premium Zone <br /> 2. An option for smart-meters or equivalent technology shall be considered <br /> for replacing current single space meters in the Value Zone _ 3 <br /> 3. Web-based Central Management System — Access to an on-line real-time <br /> web-based central management system hosted by the proposer's system - ng <br /> 4. The City's goal is to acquire a parking payment system that provides the ; <br /> f <br /> • <br /> ollowing features: <br /> a. MSM configured in a Pay-by-Space mode; however, should the City decide <br /> to change to a Pay-and-Display or Pay-by-License Plate mode in the future, ALAI <br /> the unit shall be easily configured by City with some minor programming <br /> changes. Proposer shall describe the process, level of effort and estimated <br /> costs for a modal conversion. <br /> IPS complies. The standard model of the MS1 is pay-and-display mode. However, <br /> the machine can operate in pay-by-space or pay-by-plate mode with a simple <br /> keypad swap and firmware update. No modification to the cabinet is required. <br /> Add for Pay-by-Space Keypad: $75.00 j <br /> Add for Pay-by-Plate Keypad: $200.00 <br /> b. The MSMs shall be DC powered and powers the machine directly or via <br /> battery. Battery life shall be guaranteed for a minimum of 3 years from <br /> manufacturer. <br /> IPS complies. We offer the option of hard wiring the MS 1 to power the machine <br /> directly or via battery. MS1 batteries are guaranteed for five (5) years if connected <br /> to power. L <br /> 4 <br /> C. Manufacturer should provide both hardwire and solar recharge options. <br /> Proposer will have the option to hardwire to street light circuit, which is <br /> 220v. It is only active in the evening when lights are on and would provide a minimum of six hours of <br /> charging. <br /> IPS complies. The MS1 features a fully integrated solar panel. The solar energy collection system maximizes <br /> the collection surface area for the given unit footprint, reduces solar angle dependency, is less susceptible to <br /> the accumulation of dust and other debris, and houses high efficiency solar cells. The power budget is such <br /> that more energy is collected than required and the surplus energy is stored in a power reservoir with adequate <br /> capacity to supply the system for extensive periods in times of low or no available solar energy.
