c. If the coin slot is inoperable, MSMs shall have the option to accept card payments (e.g., credit card <br /> and smart card) and NFC (i.e. google wallet/Apple Pay). <br /> IPS complies. In the event that the coin slot is inoperable, the MS1 will continue to accept debit/credit card, <br /> smart card, pay-by-cell and NFC payments. <br /> d. Proposal Deliverable - Objects that Jam <br /> The Proposer shall describe any other objects its MSMs can detect. <br /> IPS coin validators and card readers both have sensors that can detect any obstruction, whether metallic or <br /> non-metallic. In either case, any object that obstructs or triggers the sensors will set an alarm, in which case, <br /> the meter will notify the client based on a notification distribution list of the customer's choice. <br /> 3. Coin Validation <br /> a. MSMs shall provide a count of all coins or other metallic objects passing through the coin chute that <br /> match the programmed characteristics of valid coins to a level of accuracy of 99.5%, so 995 coins out of <br /> 1000 shall be recorded. <br /> IPS complies.
