• Expansion port on communications board allows for plug in capabilities for additional processors,
wired links, wireless radios to enable unforeseen wireless links to peripheral devices, payment
technologies or other card systems.
b. The Proposer shall name its proposed communications provider(s).
1 . Primary wireless communications provider: T-Mobile (GPRS)
2. Alternate wireless communications provider: Verizon (CDMA)
c. The Proposer shall describe auditing and reconciliation procedures that track electronic revenues to
and from the MSM through the credit card processor, including authorization messages, message
security, compliance services, and deposits to the designated bank.
IPS provides thorough and fully transparent auditing capabilities for credit card transactions. The City will
also be able to use IPS daily and monthly credit card settlement reports to 100% reconcile with its merchant
account statements. This provides fully transparent audits on all transactions. IPS provides complete details
on each transaction that occurs including time, meter location, amount, and authorization code.
Each credit card transaction is assigned a unique transaction ID at the time the transaction occurs. This
transaction ID follows it throughout the entire process to ensure no loss of transactions and no duplicate
transactions.
1 . A card transaction is authorized on a meter and assigned a unique transaction ID.
2. The transaction is securely transferred according to PCI-DSS Level 1 to the DMS and removed from
the meter memory. Having been authorized, the specific transaction awaits settlement in the
processing gateway queue along with all other City transactions.
3. Once the transaction has been settled in a batch, the batch ID is recorded for further record keeping
and funds are transferred from the cardholder bank to the City's merchant account every day.
4. A record of all transactions and credit card settlement statements are available within the IPS DMS.
This can be reconciled on a daily basis (in a daily summary) or as each individual transaction on a
given day.
BA[K
Data •2/+020'2
Zone Sams Mon ca.CA Oera„1t Zone Area A Sub Area • SEARCH+
E xmor.T Recores perpafe t0
sce-*wee I: T1rictton 11dn_. ■ Tw ticn Die • .
