c. The City utilizes "surface mount" installation method. All proposed MSM5 shall be supplied with a
mounting plate.
IPS complies. Please see the detailed installation instructions for more information.
d. Proposer shall deliver fully prepared MSMs.
IPS complies.
e. When the City takes possession of the MSM it shall have been properly configured, tested, being able
to connect to the network, and be fully operational.
IPS complies.
f. As installation progresses, the Proposer shall create electronic inventory records for the installed
MSMs, including but not limited to delivery dates, install dates, and post installation location code.
IPS complies. This information is recorded in the DMS. Furthermore, using the RFID system programming is
completed in typically less than a minute. IPS utilizes a patent pending RFID tag and location based
configuration system. Each meter has an assigned meter configuration within the IPS DMS. An RFID tag
with a unique serial number (affixed to the inside meter) is associated to each meter location within the IPS
database. Once a meter is installed, it will read the RFID tag serial number, contact the IPS database, and
download the configuration assigned to the specific meter location based on the associated RFID serial
number. This makes both meter configuration and asset tracking extraordinarily simple and eliminates the
need to manually assign meters to post locations
PART 2- PRODUCTS
2.1 ACCEPTABLE MANUFACTURERS OF PRIMARY COMPONENTS
A.
