2.2 EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. Provide complete operational parking system with all necessary components. It is Proposer's sole <br /> responsibility to provide every component necessary for a complete functioning system. <br /> IPS complies. IPS will be providing the City of Redwood City a completely functioning system. <br /> B. Stock: Furnish operating stock items prior to commencement of operational testing. Unit prices in <br /> proposal shall be valid through end of warranty period for purchase of additional stock items, <br /> Consultant shall provide samples for City approval prior to final order of any item that is custom <br /> printed. City will provide camera-ready artwork for logos as applicable. <br /> IPS will comply. <br /> C. Spare Parts: Furnish spare components and parts, complete and ready to use, prior to <br /> commencement of operational testing and maintain inventory of spare components at this level as <br /> components are used during warranty period. After expiration of warranty period, City will pay for <br /> replacement of parts used from this inventory and not covered by warranty. <br /> IPS will comply. <br /> 1. The Proposer shall recommend a supply list of spare parts to support MSM installations, and <br /> provide a complete parts list with prices and the expected life of major components. The Proposer shall <br /> also specify how quickly parts can be delivered. <br /> IPS provides all spare parts services and inventory based in San Diego, CA which translates into quick <br /> response times for the City of Redwood City. While we recommend that the City maintain an on-site <br /> inventory of spare parts, our San Diego based facility ensures that spare parts are immediately available for <br /> the City at any time. Ground shipments generally will take approximate one-two business days from San <br /> Diego to Redwood City, and our turnaround time upon receipt is 3-5 business days. <br /> Please see Cost Proposal for Spare Parts Pricing. <br /> 2. The Proposer shall describe the percentage discount from standard price list it shall offer the City on <br /> all available spare parts during the contract period. This discount shall survive the expiration of the <br /> contract so long as the Proposer's meters are in use in the City. <br /> The Price List that IPS is submitting is already inclusive of any discounts. IPS spare parts pricing is already <br /> well under competitive market pricing. We shall hold the submitted pricing as per the City requirements. <br /> 2.3 MULTI-SPACE METERS <br /> A. Operational Description <br /> 1. Cash Payments: Each MSM machine shall enable patron to key in parking space number by pushing <br /> the appropriate keys on the machine. Machine shall accept payment of parking fees by paper currency <br /> ($1, $5, $10, $20) and one dollar, half-dollar, quarter, dime, and nickel coin (U.S. currency). One— <br /> third of the city's pay stations have bill acceptors and two-thirds have coin and credit card only. Any <br /> solution should consider both options. As each bill or coin is inserted into machine, machine shall <br /> display amount inserted until flat rate amount is satisfied. Machine shall issue a receipt for parking fee <br /> paid upon pressing of receipt button by patron Machine shall have a memory system which stores data <br /> from each transaction, including parking space number, amount paid, and time purchased. Machine <br /> will not provide change. <br /> IPS complies. The MS 1 accepts payment by bank note and coin. Please see pricing for optional bill note <br /> acceptor (BNA). <br /> 2.
