IPS will comply. <br /> 3.7 WARRANTY & EXTENDED MAINTENANCE <br /> A. The warranty period on each phased deployment of MSMs shall commence when the entire phase is <br /> accepted in writing by the City. The City and Proposer shall establish a deployment schedule during <br /> contract negotiations. <br /> IPS will work with the City to establish a deployment schedule to best meet the needs of the City. <br /> B. The MSMs shall be warranted to operate in full functionality for a period of at least three years <br /> from the date of acceptance. <br /> IPS guarantees the MS 1 for a one year warranty, but for an additional fee, IPS can offer a three year warranty. <br /> C. The Proposer shall pay for warranty shipments from the City's Meter Shop to the Proposer's <br /> warranty handling facility and back to the City's Meter Shop. <br /> IPS complies. <br /> D. The Proposer shall be responsible for providing all new software and firmware releases (as they <br /> become available) for the duration of the contract at no cost to the City. This provision shall survive the <br /> expiration of the contract so long as the Proposer's MSMs are in use by the City. <br /> IPS complies. Software and firmware releases will be provided to the City free of charge as they become <br /> available. <br /> E. The proposer shall supply and maintain an adequate inventory of replacement components (e.g., <br /> card readers, coin validators, CPU boards) locally and/or at the City's Meter Shop. <br /> IPS complies. While under warranty, replacement components are available. After the warranty, the City will <br /> need to refer to the parts list for additional purchase of replacement components. <br /> F. MSMs shall be warranted to operate as proposed within a temperature range of 0 to 185 degrees <br /> Fahrenheit and under environmental conditions found in Redwood City, including but not limited to <br /> wind-blown grime, rain, fog, salt air, sun (including direct sunlight), and vibrations. <br /> IPS complies. IPS meters have been independently certified to operate in all climate types including <br /> temperatures ranging from -40°F to 140°F. <br /> C. Proposal Deliverables —Warranty & Extended Maintenance <br /> 1. The Proposer shall provide separately priced option for a series of one (1) year maintenance and <br /> service contracts renewable upon completion of Warranty for a period up to ten (10) years. The costs <br /> of the Maintenance and Service Contract shall be broken- out by maintenance service function. Pricing <br /> shall stipulate hourly labor rates for agreed upon services based upon maintenance service function. <br /> Labor rates shall include separate hourly rates for travel lime to and from site. Maintenance service <br /> functions shall consist of the following as described; <br /> IPS complies. PIease see the Pricing proposal for more detail. <br /> i. Basic Repair: The manufacturer shall train and factory-certify City personnel to perform all basic <br /> manufacturer repair functions in support of the PARCS equipment.
