Redwood City: What's Going On <br /> A Slide Presentation by Planning Director Joel Patterson <br /> Planning Director Joel Patterson presented slides of recent, current and <br /> future development in Redwood City and advised this program was originally <br /> created for presentation to the San Mateo County Economic Development <br /> Association. The slides illustrated residential and commercial development, <br /> public works projects, historical restorations, rehabilitation projects, <br /> store front improvements, redevelopment projects, on-going projects such as <br /> Sequoia Station, the largest square foot development currently being built <br /> on the peninsula, and future projects, such as entry features. Director <br /> Patterson invited everyone to attend the third community meeting on Hamilton <br /> Street entry features this Wednesday evening. <br /> Councilman Claire advised the Council that he had written to the Times <br /> Tribune inviting the editorial staff to take a tour with him and really see <br /> Redwood City, and asked his colleagues to submit to him any comments they <br /> would like to share with the Times Tribune. Discussion of requests, process and evaluation of proposals regarding <br /> 811 Whipple Avenue (203-04,301-08,302-10) <br /> Councilwoman Buchan advised that the Housing and Human Concerns Committee <br /> is seeking Council direction on the RFP process for the 811 Whipple Avenue <br /> site.
