Councilman Greenalch described the Project Read Trivia Bee held last Friday <br /> night at Canada College and thanked team members Councilman Murray, and <br /> especially Councilwoman Buchan who so ably led their team. Counc i1 man <br /> Greenalch announced that the Trivia Bee had raised $25,000 for Project Read, <br /> and that it was won by a team from SRI International. <br /> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> E. Councilman Murray reported on the first meeting of the School Facilities <br /> Advisory Board with the Belmont School Board to develop a consensus. The <br /> Belmont School Board is considering three options at the moment: 1) reopen <br /> Cipriani, 2) add students to each school, or 3) open a new campus in Redwood <br /> Shores. Councilman Murray explained Basic Aid District and advised that <br /> Belmont School District is a Basic Aid District and Redwood City School <br /> District is not. Councilman Murray advised he is supporting the third <br /> option and will continue to meet and report back to the Council. Mayor La Berge announced that at the Council of Cities Meeting last Friday, <br /> she had been appointed to the San Mateo County Childrens Executive Council <br /> and would report on its progress in the near future.
