The attached resolution <br />(Attachment 3) establishes a City policy that the Public Art Task Force shall review and <br />provide recommendations to the Civic Cultural Commission regarding art work and <br />other legitimate expenditures funded by the Art in Public Places Fund and art work to be <br />provided on-site by developers prior to the Civic Cultural Commission performing its <br />responsibilities pursuant to Sections 45.050 and 45.110, respectively, of the Public Art <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />If adopted, this ordinance will be effective 30 days from this action. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Adopt the ordinance with changes, which could require additional research and <br />future recommendation. <br />2. Do not adopt the ordinance. <br />3. Adopt the ordinance, but do not adopt the Resolution. <br /> <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The amount contributed from the Capital Outlay Fund to the Art in Public Places Fund <br />will vary from fiscal year to fiscal year. It is estimated that over $80,000 will be <br />transferred into the Art in Public Places Fund for the next Fiscal Year.
