<br />Mayor Buchan presented the proclamation to Marie Amaya, 25-year member of <br />Bonita Parlor, No. 10, who thanked the Council, City staff and the members <br />of the Historic Resources Advisory Committee and advised she would present <br />the proclamation and a history~of4Redwood City to Charline Buckley at the <br />official dinner. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />4. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS <br />A. Two letters regarding 1993 and 1994 Fourth of July activities and community <br />services were received from the Peninsula Celebration Association and were <br />referred to staff for inclusion in the budget process and permit process. <br />Mayor Buchan acknowledged receipt of the letters and advised that they were <br />under consideration by staff. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />5. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />None. <br />6. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />A. Councilwoman La Berge reminded everyone of the Child Care Forum scheduled <br />for March 29, 1993, and Councilwoman Gasparini advised she would attend. <br />B. Councilwoman Steinfeld invited everyone to attend the Art Exhibit from <br />China, February 28th to March 7th in the Main Library and the Gala to be <br />held in the Hotel Sofitel on February 28th. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />7. BOARD, COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />A. Mayor Buchan to appoint two Councilmembers to the Council Parking Committee <br />to review new parking fees and operation of the parking structure.
