Accept the resignations of Jim Hartnett from the Housing and Human Concerns <br /> Committee; Patricia Wright from the Traffic Committee; Martha Kwasnikow from <br /> the Fair Oaks Community Center Advisory Board; and Dave Schutz from the <br /> Civic Cultural Commission, all with deepest regrets, but many thanks for a <br /> job well done. (302-01,09,-10,-14) <br /> Council accepted the resignations of the above mentioned board, committee <br /> and commission members. <br /> MEMO 3/23/93 <br /> Mayor Buchan presented plaques in honor of distinguished service to Jim <br /> Hartnett and Dave Schutz, and advised that the other plaque would be <br /> presented at a later date. <br /> MEMO 3/23/93 <br /> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> City Attorney Schricker spoke to the issue of Council's invitations to the <br /> Planning Commission meeting tomorrow where a scoping session on Pacific <br /> Shores Center will take place, and again reminded Council, out of an excess <br /> of caution, that the Brown Act prohibitions prevail and Councilmembers <br /> should not engage in discussions of the proposals. <br /> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> 8. STAFF REPORTS <br /> A. Policy regarding application for funding from HUD through the HOME Program <br /> (203-04) <br /> REPORT: Community Development Director, March 11, 1993 <br /> Housing Director Church and Housing Coordinator Jones-Thomas presented the <br /> staff report and advised that although it was a close call, it was their <br /> belief the City would receive more funds by applying individually than if <br /> they applied with the County consortium as in the past, and that present <br /> staffing could adequately handle the additional administrative duties.
