Councilwoman Gasparini reported on the San Mateo County Child Care <br /> Partnership Council's "Forum for Policymakers and Child Care Advocates" on <br /> March 29, 1993 she attended with Redwood City Child Care Coordinator Kristen <br /> Anderson and Redwood City Senior Planner Tom Passinisi, and described efforts <br /> to streamline the permit process for child care. Councilwoman Gasparini <br /> advised that Redwood City was acknowledged as a forerunner in youth services <br /> and served as a model for other cities. <br /> F. Councilwoman Gasparini announced the Take Pride in Redwood City <br /> clean-up project on Seaport Boulevard to take place on Saturday, <br /> April 24, 1993 at 8:30 a.m., and invited everyone to take part in this <br /> worthwhile effort. <br /> G. Councilwoman Gasparini described the Mayor's Beautification Awards <br /> program and advised that nominations were due by May 21, 1993. <br /> H. Councilman Sanfilipo asked that the disestablishment of the Downtown Business <br /> Improvement Area No.2 be scheduled for a future Council Meeting. <br /> (203-19) <br /> MEMO 4/6/93 <br /> I. Mayor Buchan announced she would attend the California Association for Local <br /> Economic Development conference in Monterey, April lth - 9th. <br /> J. Mayor Buchan advised she would be representing Redwood City at the Countywide <br /> budget forum sponsored by Supervisor Griffin on April 20, 1993. <br /> K. Mayor Buchan advised she and City Manager Everett would participate in the <br /> budget forum sponsored by State Senator Morgan on April 30, 1993. <br /> L. Mayor Buchan announced with great pride that Redwood City had been selected <br /> by the National Civic League as an All American City and will vie with 30 <br /> other cities from around the nation for top honors.
