· Technical support for the City’s parking equipment procurement processes, and <br />· Some data collection and analysis for the Farm Hill Boulevard Pilot Project. <br /> <br />Both firms have performed to the City’s expectations but have almost exhausted their <br />approved funding. Each amendment increases the fee for each consultant and extends <br />their term by one year. If approved, Kimley-Horn will complete the detailed design work <br />for the Kennedy Middle School Safe Routes to School Project and TJKM will continue to <br />provide staff augmentation to respond to citizen requests (traffic calming requests, <br />parking issues, stop sign requests, etc.). <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. The Council may choose not to approve the amendments and direct staff to seek <br />proposals for the work from other consulting firms. <br />2. The Council may choose not to approve the agreements and direct staff to <br />initiate the process to hire temporary or permanent staff to perform the desired <br />activities. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Work will be billed to eligible grants for specific projects, as permitted.
