Parking Policies (TDM) - Parking policies were updated in 2014 (no action required in <br />2015) <br /> <br />Strategies and Recommendations: <br />The following communitywide measures are recommended to assist the City in meeting <br />its 2020 GHG reduction goal: <br /> <br />· Coordinate outreach efforts for Peninsula Clean Energy in Redwood City to <br />maximize resident participation. <br />· Participate in the 2016 Peninsula SunShares program <br />· Continue promoting residential energy efficiency with “Step Up and Power Down” <br />· Continue promoting community-focused energy efficiency and water <br />conservation programs and challenges <br />· Continue promoting alternative commute and active transportation programs and <br />assisting with annual transportation data collection efforts <br />· Consider adopting the regional Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance <br />· Coordinate with the County Office of Sustainability to promote shared and <br />countywide programs such as the Green Business Program and the <br />Recycleworks Volunteer Academy <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Not applicable. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />None <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />The annual update is not a “project” under CEQA because it does not involve any <br />commitment to a specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical <br />impact on the environment, as contemplated by title 14, California Code of Regulations, <br />Section 15378 (b)(4). <br /> <br /> <br />VICKI SHERMAN <br />ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES COORDINATOR <br /> <br />4.B. - Page 5
