<br />cost for appraisal not to exceed $400, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried on roll call, Councilman
<br />Stout voting No and Councilman Spillers being noted absent.
<br />Mayor Herkner extended his thanks to the Council for their hard work and the City employees also for their work

<br />Councilman Britschgi and carried.
<br />Councilman Granger offered and read RESOLUTION COMMEMORATING THE 3EMORY OF GEORGE W. PSC NULTY and moved its
<br />adoption, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent.

<br />Devotional was lead by Reverend Rowland Edgermorth, First Baptist Church.
<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Carl A. Britschgi, Floyd D. Granger, Paul Jones,
<br />William H. Royer, Robert V. Spillers, Mayor Sidney D. Herkner and City Clerk R. S. Doge. Councilman Hiram
<br />S. Stout was noted absent. Also present were City Manager E. A. Rolison, City Attorney C. B. Currie, City
<br />Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Police Chief William Faulstich, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, Building Inspector
<br />S. H. Kreiss, City Collector Paul E. Perrin, Street Maintenance Foremen Doyle Chester, Police Captain
<br />6W Theodore Moudakas and Account -Clerk Vivian Holmquist.
<br />The minutes of December 19, 1955, were approved as mailed on motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Council-
<br />man Spillers and carried.
<br />PERSONAL APPEARANCE, DIRECTORS OF THE CM113ER OF COMMERCE. Mr. E. W. (Ned) Butler, Executive Vice -President and
<br />Manager of the Chamber of Commerce, extended greetings to the Council from the Chamber of Commerce, and
<br />introduced Ted Thompson, Past President of the Chamber of Commerce, who expressed his appreciation to the
<br />Council for their cooperation and consideration during his term of office. One of the achievements of the
<br />year was the beginning of the Parking District improvements and the cooperation of the downtown merchants
<br />during the time of construction.
<br />Councilman Stout appeared at 8:10 P.M..

<br />boarding house.
