The bid provided for <br />liability insurance to be furnished by the Redwood City Merchants Softball Team, and the City Managers in his <br />letter, asked the Council to establish the amount of such insurance which will be required, in order that <br />the operates of the stand may be notified and submit the necessary evidence of insurance. Councilman <br />Britschgi moved that the proper authority check into this matter, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br />Auditor Brophy offered to check into this matter and was so ordered. <br />City Attorney Currie requested the Council to appoint two or three members of the Council to meet with him in <br />regard to the Parking lot. The Mayor asked the Parking Lot Committee to meet with the City Attorney to dis— <br />cuss property owned by the Arguello heirs. <br />Councilman Granger suggested that the City Manager look into the possibility of getting the old fire engines <br />belonging to the City which is now on display in the City of Sacramento# at Sutter's Fort, here for the <br />Centennial Week. Councilman Granger so moved, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br />Councilman Stout read a -portion of a letter he had received from Seaman Albert Re Reboldt in which he stated <br />that his liberty while the submarine Us S. S. Bugara tied up at the Port was the most enjoyable one he had <br />experienced since he has been in the Navy. The hospitality shown him was wonderful and he hoped to casae <br />back some day. <br />Councilman Stout requested that matter of subdivision fees be taken up at a study meeting as soars as possible. <br />city Engineer Jain called attention to the proposed increase in sewer rental fees especially to the proposal to <br />increase rates outside the City to three times the city rates. Ure Jain asked what should be done with <br />public buildings such as Sequoia Hospital and the schools outside the city limits. City Manager Rolison <br />stated that there might be some excuse for not increasing the rates to public Buildings. The City Engineer <br />was of the opinion that this should be the Council, as in his opinion, this was a matter of policy. <br />Claims 19792 to 19829, totaling $103,989.87, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Stout, seconded by <br />Councilman Britschgi and carried, <br />Councilman Britschgi moved that the meeting be adjourned to July 23rds seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried. <br />Meeting adjourned, 10:47 Pe M. <br />H.
