49 <br />meet with the Fire Chiefs in the bay area and they are of the opinion that until this is approved by the <br />Fire Underwriters then this ordinance should not be changed. <br />The manager of the Union Oil Station at Edgewood and El Camino Real spoke in favor of the use of the <br />automatic nozzle. This was followed by discussion a fter which Councilman Granger withdrew his second. <br />Councilman Britschgi then seconded the motion. Councilman Granger stated that he was confused and that was <br />why he withdrew his second to the motion. The Mayor stated that since the City had this ordinance then it <br />6w should be enforced. The motion carried on roll call with Councilman Granger voting No because he saw no <br />need for the motion. Councilman Spillers was noted absent on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Royer stated that perhaps the ordinance should be changed and he was of the opinion that the <br />City Attorney and the Fire Chief should get together to draw up a new ordinance. This was followed by <br />discussion in regard to the use of clips. Councilman Jones <br />moved approval of the Planning Commission's recommendation, seconded by Councilman Britschgi. Councilman <br />Stout raised the question in regard to length of the garage. Councilmen Britschgi and Jones withdrew the <br />motion. Agenda next Monday. <br />RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION POPLAR, EBENER AND HESS ROAD IMPROVEMTS City Attorney Currie stated that <br />the proceedings were ready to go ahead. Councilman Granger offered RESOLTUION 1964 BEING RESOLUTION OF <br />PRELIM9INARY DETERMINATION, POPLAR, HESS, EBENER AREA IMPROVEMENTS and moved its adoption, seconded by <br />Councilman Britschgi and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />how CITY ATTORNEY REPORT ON PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO CONTROL DUMPING OF DEBRIS IN CREEKS. City Attorney stated that <br />there was an ordinance still in effect, however, it is very hard to enforce because the people have to be <br />caught in the act of dumping debris in the creeks. Councilman Granger asked that the Clerk mail a copy of <br />Ordinance 719 to the Council. Councilman Britschgi moved that those duly authorized enforce the ordinance, <br />seconded by Councilman Grange and carried. <br />
