carried. <br />COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR SUGGESTS CITY APPLY FOR TAX CANCELLATION ON CERTAIN CITY PROPERTY. The following is a <br />list of property assessed to the City of Redwood City on which there are delinquent taxes. The County is <br />very anxious to get these off their abstract sheets and would appreciate it if the Council would ask the <br />Board of Supervisiors for cancellation. <br />F"M Lot 6, Block A, Fays Redwood Gardens <br />Lot 7.4$ Block B$ Fays Redwood Gardens <br />i&„„ Lots 15, 17, 20, Block B., Fays Redwood Gardens <br />Lot 5 and 63 Block 1, Jefferson Avenue Addition <br />Nely 31.5' of Lot 2, Block 3, West Redwood No. 1 <br />Lot 173 Block 83 West Redwood <br />2r' x 355.6' of Lot A, Block 13, West Redwood <br />Lots 3, 43 5 and 63 Block 21 Homestead Subdivision of Lot 48, Reese Tract. <br />A Councilman Britschgi moved approval of the County's request, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried. <br />rw DIVISION OF HIGIFTAYS REQUEST CANCELLATION OF TAXES ON FRE011AY PROPERTY. It was the recommendation of the City <br />I <br />Attorney to allow the request. Councilman Britschgi moved that the taxes be cancelled as requested, <br />seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />The Mayor announced that he would be out of town for the week and would be back the following Monday. Council— <br />man Britschgi moved that the Mayor be allowed to leave town and the Councilman Spillers be appointed to <br />act as Mayor, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />The Mayor announced that a study meeting would be held on 7ednesday night at 8:00 P. M. <br />Councilman Britschgi moved that the meeting be adjourned to September lith. This lost for lack of a second. <br />City Manager Rolison stated that it was necessary that the Council take action in regard to deeds for the sale <br />of property to the State. The Mayor asked that the City Assessor have the Real Estate Committee meet on <br />this and report back at the next meeting. <br />Councilman Granger wanted to know about the Michel Building. The Clerk has the agreement in his office. <br />Councilman Granger wanted to know what the Council wanted to do on the matter of the Franklin Street extension <br />in regard to the Southern Pacific Company. The Clerk was asked to check into this matter. <br />Councilman Britschgi moved that the meeting be adjourned to September lith, seconded by Councilman Herkner and <br />carried. M. <br />Invocation was lead by dennis Woodman due to the absence of Reverend John J. Fast. <br />ON TROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Carl A. Britschgi, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. <br />Herkner, Robert V. Spillers, Louis Weiss, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Councilman <br />Hiram S. Stout was noted absent. Also present were City Manager E. A. Rolison, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, <br />City Attorney Robert Costello, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, Assistant to <br />City Manager L. A. Kimball, City Collector Paul E. Perrin, Assistant Building Inspectors B. C. Gyselbrecht <br />and Dourglass Leith, Planning Commissioner Vincent Rambo, Assessor—Auditor John J. Brophy, Police Chief <br />sJilliam Faulstich and Account—Clerk Vivian Holmquist. <br />The minutes of August 20th .and August 27th were approved as mailed on motion of Gouncilman'Britschgi, seconded <br />by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />kl <br />PUBLIC HEARING, CONTINUATION OF HEARING ON ATTORNEY WOODMAN'S APPEAL TO PLANNING COMMISSION CONDITION ATTACHED <br />TO RESUBDIVISION OF BERGANTON PROPERTY (CORNER OPAL & HOPKINS) REQUIRING DEDICATION OF 10' FRONTAGE. <br />
