2 <br />Councilman Weiss a sked that he be notified of the Committee meetings that are coming up .as there are some he <br />would like to attend as an individual. <br />City Attorney Costello stated that he had the resolution for stop signs as requested. Councilman Stout offered <br />RESOLUTION 2111 ESTABISHING STOP INTERSECTION AT Srvtirrn AVENUE AND PAGE STREET and moved its adoption, <br />seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call, Councilman Britschgi being noted absent. <br />Councilman Stout stated that they had the dedication ceremonies for the benches today for the Business Women's <br />Organization. The next dedication will be Saturday.. September 29th at 2 P..M. This will be for the <br />Westwood Terrace Improvemsent Club and will be held at the Shell Station on Roosevelt Avenue. <br />Councilman Spillers moved that the City Attorney take whatever steps are necessary to start proceedings on the <br />Police Building, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried. <br />Councilman Weiss stated that he wanted the Reservoir site pushed also. City Attorney Costello stated that he <br />had received some plans that were delivered today and he hadn't known what they were for. <br />Councilman Weiss stated that he read in the San Carlos paper where the City of San Carlos was putting out an <br />annual report on City Business. He feels that possibly the City of Redwood City should take this into <br />consideration and he submitted this for whatever it is wortsh. <br />Councilman Spillers moved that the meeting be adjourned. This lost for lack of a second*. <br />Councilman Herkner referred back to the annual report and he feels that this is a good idea. The Mayor <br />asked that the City Manager keep this in mind. This was followed by discussion. Councilman Granger stated <br />that at the present time he doesn't feel that the City. has sufficient help to make a big job out of this. <br />City Manager Rokison stated that he feels that they can make s:me sort of a report <br />A gentlemen in the audience spoke in regard to the water condition that is still in question in regard to <br />Foothill Street -and the run-off from Farm Hills. He asked that a complete engineer survey be made by the <br />City. Mr. Jain stated that he made his report Last Reek and he is still of the opinion that his report is <br />still in effect. This was followed by discussion in regard to running a s tors drainage system through for one <br />more block. Councilman Weiss suggested that the City keep watch on this section and if it becomes more <br />hazarderous that the City then make some attempt to drain the water under the street for one more block* <br />This was followed by discussion on whetheror not the water was contagious. Mr. Jain stated that the water <br />was running water and thus it had to be fresh water. Councilman Spillers moved that -then meeting be adjourned. <br />This again lost for lack of a second. <br />Councilman Granger moved to place the matter of the drainage of this area on Foothill Street on the agenda <br />for the first meeting in January, 1957, for a report as to conditions, seconded by Councilman Spillers <br />and carried. <br />Councilman Spillers moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried.
