Councilman Spillers moved approval of the Planning Commission's recommendation to denys seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED DENIAL APPLICATION M. E. O'CONNOR FOR VAIANCE AND RESUBDIVISION LOT 3s BLOCK $s ovvrarr,Y SUBDIVISION, (427 STAMBAUGH STREET). Resubdivision as proposed would require a variance to allow 4 foot rear yard on existing house. The Planning Commission proposed a resubdivision of 63 x 111 feet on one lots and 63 x 89 beet on second lots which applicant rejected. Councilman Spillers moved approval of the Planning Commission's recommendation to deny$ seconded by Councilman Britschgi who Moo stated that someone should take a look at this area and try to improve it. Councilman Britschgi stated that because of the noise of the trains that some action or experiment should be attempted so matters brought before the Council could be heard by everyone in the room. He suggested that the windows facing the street be boarded up leaving the windows facing the Library open so air can be let into the Council Chambers. Councilman Royer moved that the City Manager check into this matter and bring back a report at the next meetings seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. Councilman Granger asked the City Attorney to read a proposed resolutions said resolution being a tribute to our service flag. This resolution if adopted would be sent to the people on the committee in regard to the service plaque. Councilman Granger offered RESOLUTION 19811 A TRIBUTE TO OUR SERVICE FLAG and moved its adoptions seconded by Councilman Spillers. This was followed by discussion after which the motion carried on roll calls Councilman Jones being noted absent* Councilman Granger referred to the subject of Cordilleras Creek. He wanted to know if the School had taken any action to clean up the creek. This was followed by discussion a fter which Councilman Granger moved that this should be referred back to the City Manager to make a detailed report on previous council action in rgard to this matters seconded by Councilman Royer. This was followed by discussion. The City Manager was asked to report back in two weeks. Motimiccarried. City Attorney Currie spoke in regard to garbage disposal. He recommended that the Council adopt the mad resolution prior to the time that the district comes into being. This would merly call for a public hearing. Councilman Royer offered RESOLUTION 1985 REQUESTING BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE FORMATION OF GARBAGE AND REFUSE DISTRICT and moved its adoptions seconded by Councilman Stout and carried on roll calls Councilman Jones being noted absent.
