Q c� <br />O3 <br />additional cost of the sewer rental rate outside the City of Redwood City and he also stated that it <br />would be well to have someone determine the charge to be collected. It was the thought of the Committee <br />that perhaps the City is charging too little for outside charges. Councilman Royer moved that a recommen- <br />dation should be made by the City Manager in regard to how much should be charged for outside services, <br />seconded by Councilman Stout, report in 30 days. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Herkner, as a result of the study meeting of February 16th, set a public hearing for 4 p.m. Thursday in <br />regard to parking lot for Veteran's Building. <br />Mayor Herkner stated that he wanted to get started on the creek covering. He appointed a committee to meet to <br />discuss the possibility of getting in touch with property owners in order to get the creeks covered <br />between Parking Lot No. 2 and Main Street. <br />Rolison and Councilman Paul Jones. <br />Use Permits granted by the Planning Commissions. <br />The Mayor appointed himself, City Attorney Currie, City Manager <br />1. 'To L. F. Bourquift to allow a 24 x 24 foot guest house at 158 Inner Circle subject to the lot <br />being used for single family use only. This was followed by a very lengthy discussion <br />regarding guest houses later being used as income property. No action was taken on th4!p`use <br />permit, however, the City Attorney was instructed to came in with an investigation report. <br />2. To Granite Rock Company for an asphalt plant at Steinberger and Redwood Creek subject to <br />(1) No obnoxious odors (2) No dusts (3) No smokes (4) Area to be paved and (5) submittal <br />of a plot plan. <br />3. To M. Aaronson for medical office at 139 Arch Street. <br />4. To S. Nagleburg for neon sign manufacturing at 923 Jefferson subject to rear yard being <br />fenced with a 6 foot metal fence and no storage above the fence or on the roof biiilding. <br />Claims 18573 to 18650, totaling $255,342.08, were ordered paid by Councilman Stout, seconded by Councilman <br />Spillers and carried* <br />Councilman Spillers moved meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. M. <br />Invocation was lead by Reverend E. W. Smith, Pastor Trinity Presbyterian Church. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Carl A. Britschgi, Floyd D. Granger, Paul Jones, <br />William H. Royer, Robert V. Spillers, Hiram S. Stout, Mayor Sidney D. Herkner and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. <br />Also present were City Manager E. A. Rolison, City Attorney C. B. Currie, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, <br />Assistant Water Superintendent Warren Mitchell Police Captain Theodore Moudakas,'Fir'e Marshal George Advose <br />Assistant to City Manager L. A. Kimball and Account -Clerk Vivian Holmquist. <br />COMMITTEE REPORT REGARDING COVERING OF CREEK ADJACENT TO PARKING LOTS. City Attorney Currie reported that the <br />v Committee had met that afternoon in regard to the area from Main Street to Parking Lot No. 2 and from <br />Bradford Street to Main Street. Appraisals are being made and negotiations will be made for the entire <br />land from the proposed parking lot to Main Street. The Committee is trying to contact the three property <br />�..owners at the rear of J. C. Penny property, in an attempt to have the work done at the same time parking <br />lot # 2 will be done. <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT OF FOX SHOPPE. City Attorney Currie stated that a meeting had been held with the property <br />owners on Thursday and at that time it ecame apparent that the figures of the City are somewhat distant <br />from the figures of the property owners. Mr. Morris Grupp, attorney for Geo. L. Leonard Construction <br />Company, addressed the Council. He stated that the Uniform Agreement of Sale between Mr. Stiller and Geo. <br />L. Leonard Construction Company was wincelled by mutual consent because of the delay in Council astion# <br />
