Councilman Granger asked if this calling for bids would require <br /> that they set the money aside . The answer was yes . The motion carried on roll call <br /> with Councilman Spillers being noted absent . m <br /> Councilman Herkner offered RESOLUTION 2250 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION ... <br /> OF SUPPLY MAINS AND DRAIN LINE TO SERVE SEQUOIA RESERVOIR and moved its adoption, seconded <br /> by Councilman Stout . Coun- <br /> cilman Granger offered RESOLUTION 2253 AUTHORIZING SUBSTITUTION OF FLOOR COVERING SUB- <br /> CONTRACTOR IN CONNECTION WITH CONSTRUCTION OF REDWOOD CITY POLICE STATION and moved its <br /> adoption, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call , Councilman Spillers <br /> being noted absent . <br /> Letter from the North Redwood Little League inviting the Council to their opening night on <br /> June 7, 1957, at Hawes Park at 6 p .m. <br /> The Mayor stated that he had received two notices of a bill to be considered by the Assembly <br /> Committee on Conservation on May 30th. This bill is in regard to adoption of Route B <br /> for the new Junipero Serra Freeway . The City Attorney outlined the contents of the bill . <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved that the City Manager be authorized to see that the proper <br /> information and/or person get the necessary information to the State Assembly. This was <br /> followed by discussion after which the motion was changed to direct the City Manager to <br /> mai <br /> see that the information of the Council favoring Route B and opposed Route A get to the <br /> Assembly Committee on time for the meeting, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried . <br /> RESOLUTION IN MEMORIUM PROCLAIMING MEMORIAL DAY OBSERVANCE THURSDAY, MAY 30, 1957 was <br /> offered by Councilman Weiss who moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Stout and <br /> carried on roll call , Councilman Spillers being noted absent . <br />
