The minutes further indicate � <br /> ' 1 . <br /> that discussion followed and the Mayor ruled it out of order. The manner in which the <br /> Mayor� s action is indicated could lead to misunderstanding. Th.e <br /> affidavit of Post ing and Mailin� Notice of Filing Assesament and Time of Hearing was <br /> ', ordered filed. There were three letters of protest which the Clerk read. The letters <br /> I� were from Evelyn Willoughby and Violet Guinasso, County of San Mateo and h. K. Hill. <br /> ', There was some discussion in regard to the methof of spreading the assessment. Mrs. <br /> ', Guinasso and Miss Willoughby were present and addressed the Council stating their <br /> ', reasons for their objections. K. Hill <br /> telling him that he can not block the drainage ditch and notifying him what could be <br /> done and could not be done. Councilman Herkner so moved, seconded by Councilman Granger <br /> and carried. <br /> The City Engineer recommended that this pro3ect be accepted subject to correction of <br /> any defects in materials and wor�nanship which might appear within one year from date <br /> of acceptance, and sub�ect to correcti on of any work required by the City Council <br /> after the ublic hearin on this ro ect. Mr. Eichorn asked that <br /> this be continued for one more week. Councilman Weiss moved to continue the p�blic <br /> hearing for one week, July 15th, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. „� <br /> SIDEWALK COMMITTEE REPORT ON MISS HEYDENFELDT� S REQUEST FOR AN EXTENSION. Councilman Stout � <br /> stated that the Gommittee discussed this and he asked the Clerk to read their report. <br /> +�`he Clark first read the letter from Miss Heydenfeldt and then the report of the Side- <br /> walk Committee.
