They mu�t be broad <br /> �, snough to encampass all aspeets of city developement� they must be challenging enough to interest cit3zens <br /> and cit�r government in working for their accomplistrments� and they must at the same time be reaZistic and <br /> �ossible of achievement. � <br /> 0 2• In order to proceed to�ward cammon ab3ectivQss there must be general agreembnt on the point of depart- <br /> ure. If citizens are to understand the goas and �udge them intelligent7y� they must be supplied xith inform <br /> ation on the present status and current trends of the city�s population, its econoa�►, its land use and traf- <br /> �- fic patterns� general gra�th� etc. <br /> ?p�, 3. Mar�r other people have ta].�ced on the sub�eat and ob3ected to various phases and <br /> parts of the proposal in its present form. Moat glaring faults are failure to conform to ar�r ideal� esp- ' <br /> l�""�'" ecially in �,he allxation of areas to v�riaus types of usage and zoaing. Their location with relation to ' <br /> � other areas and zones have been questioned.
