The Planning Commission�commended approval as i�here were no protPsts at the public hearing ar�d it was in the interest of the general welfare of the city to rezone said property. G1enn Boom� representing t he Shell Oil Corapany� addressed the Council and exp],ained+he situation. Counci?man Spillers asked about Lot !�. TY�ere is a portion of this lot that is in the proposnd ex+,ension o,f Indu�trial Wa�r. The She11 Oil Com par�y is aware of this and have designed their sex�vice station to meet the situation. This was follveved by discussion with regard to obtaining an option on t}�e I�O� for the proposed extens�ors. Counci].m�.n Spi�l.ers moved that they hold this matter up far one weeks the Shell Oi1. Councilman Weymouth� in view of the unanimous approval of the Planning Comnri.ssion� moved that the rezoning be granted, seconded by Councilman Spillers and earried. The Clerk read the f olloPring report: � The Couricil has referred to this office the question of repcmting on existing regulations and possibly additional requirements governing the sale of Christmas trees in RPC�wood City. �.-� present Section 8 of Ordinance No. �.1�7, the Business Licensing Ordinance, is applieable to persons carrying on the business of rc�tailing Christznas trees on a temporary basis f or periods of less than six rnonths. The sectz.on requires the payment of a license fee af �25.00 per week.
