Cauncilman Herkner maved that the minute� be approved as <br /> mailed sub�ect to the oorrection on the December 9th minutes xith regards to including a summary of <br /> �„"' _ <br /> � Councilman Weiss�s statement on th� Federal A id-i.n-Grant Program, seconded by Cauncilman Stout and <br /> �. <br /> carried. <br /> Cauncilman Weiss reini.nded the Council that the 30 day trial period on manner of keeping minutes ex-- <br /> pired xith the November 25th meeti.ng. Cvunci]snan Spillers moved to t ry to alternate plan (Minutes <br /> to conta.in motion only and ar�y stateme� to be included in themirrutes may be done so only by motion)� <br /> seconded by Cauncilman Granger. Councilman Weiss read a prepared statement and offered a substitute <br /> motion that all minutes� that is vvritten minutes of the Council� be limited to information indicating <br /> those present� time� etc. of opening and closing of ineeting � and that a11 other records be dispensed <br /> v�ith notwithstanding the provisions of the Charter� general laws of the State and custom. The sub- <br /> stitute motion lost for lack of a second. Coundilman Stout moved to table the matter for orte week <br /> for further con�ideration� secmded by Councilman Weiss. This motion loat on roll call nith Cor.ncil- <br /> man Granger� Spillers� �feymouth and. Mayor Rayer voting No and Council�en Herkner� Stout and Weiss <br /> � voting Yes. The original motion to try to alternate passed xith Councilman We iss voting No. <br /> �"' PUBLIC HEARING� PI�ANNING COIVf�d2SSI0Ai ftEC�NDATION TOREZONE AREA BOUNDID BY HUDSQN� POPLAR, HFSS AND REAR <br /> QF AREA FRONTING ON WOODSIDE ROAD FR014� x-2 TO R-3• Harvey Laird� 1515 Hudson Strest� objected to the <br /> rezoning. Andrew N. Jones, 3793 Fa,rm Hill Boulevard� xrote a letter in favar of the rezmning since he <br /> is a property amer at 603 Poplar Avenue. Co�mcilman �eymauth moved that the public hearing be closed� <br /> seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br /> Councilman SpiLZers moved approval of the Plaruzing Commission�s recarc�nendation and referred the matter <br /> � to t he City Attorney f or the proper procedure� seconded by Cauncilman �Peymouth. Councilman Stout amend- <br /> ed. the motion to eliminafi�e the eas terlg Side � Hudson Street one lot in depth using the present sub- <br /> division of lots as the depth limit, seconded by Counci]man Weiss. After discussicn the motions vrere <br /> withdrawn. Councilman Spillers moved to carry this on the agenda to January 6th� t�e Council to b e <br /> furnished a map of the area� seconded by Counci7.m�an �Peymouth and carried. <br /> �.,. ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE AMENDING CRDINANCE N0. 758 ESTABLISHING 35 I�ILE SPEID ZIMIT ON FRONTAGE ROAD BET9PEEN <br /> �, HARB�t BLVD. AND CITY LIMITS. Councilman Spillsrs affered the ordinance and moved its adoption� aee- <br /> onded by Councilman Weiss. After considerable diseussion about �urisdictional ri.ght� the City Attorney <br /> reco�rr�ended that this ordinance be held up until such time as ths State gives the City jurisdiction of <br /> the street.
