Councilman <br /> Spillers moved that the recommendation of the Planning Commission be denied because the Council has met many <br /> time with these people and they did not want this wide a street. This was followed by discussion in regard <br /> to the 50' or 60' street. The present right-of-way is 50'. The Council went on record of reducing the street <br /> from 80' to 60'. They are only reducing the parkway and the sidewalk. The set-backs will still be for 60'. <br /> Councilman 'Granger seconded the motion which carried. <br /> CITY MANAGER LETTER REGARDING PROPOSED REDISTRIBUTION MUNICIPAL COURT FINES. The City Manager reported in his <br /> letter that while the County's proposal is somewhat complicated,from our analysis Redwood City would eventually <br /> gain an increase of approximately 10% more revenue than is now being received from this source, following <br /> the end of the proposed three year redistribution period. The City Manager recommended that the County's <br /> rm, proposal be accepted. Councilman Herkner moved approval of the recommendation, seconded by Co uncilman Granger <br /> and carried. <br /> INTRODUCE ORDINANCE PROVIDING MINIMUM 15 FEET BETWEEN END OF CURB RETURN AND DRIVEWAY IN NON-RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS. <br /> The Clerk read the title of the proposed ordinance. Councilman Spillers offered introduction of the ordinance, <br /> , seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call, Councilman Herkner voting No and Councilman Weiss <br /> being noted absent. <br /> Claims 22091 through 22180, totaling $32,179.94, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded <br /> by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br /> Councilman Granger wanted to know how the mapng of the trees on El Camino Real was coming along. The City <br /> Manager stated that this has been referred to the Park Superintendent and the City Engineer. Mr. Jain <br /> stated that they have not had time to complete this work. He recommended that his office not make this <br /> report. The City Manager stated that future driveways should be considered in this survey. This was <br /> followed by discussion. The City Engineer stated that they had a map used in connection with street lights <br /> which could be used. The City Manager stated that he would have the Park Department make the survey. <br /> DUMBARTON FAIR OAKS IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION, INC., REQUEST AN EARLY MEETING TO DISCUSS CONTRACT DRAWN by the San <br /> Mateo County District Attorney's Office which is ready for Council approval. They want to discuss the contract <br /> and possibly an interim agreement to be effective as of now to the end of this fiscal year, ending June 30, <br /> 1957. The:Mayor told Mr. Connors that he would be glad to hold a study meeting, however, Councilman Weiss <br /> is chairman and he is out of town at the present time. Mr. Connors-stated that everything was in order and <br /> he would like the meeting as soon as possible even if the chairman is unable to'attend the meeting. The. <br /> Mayor announced that this matter would be taken up at the Wednesday night study meeting, April 3rd. <br /> Councilman Spillers moved that the meeting be adjourned to April 8th at the-hour of 8:00 P.M., seconded by <br /> Councilman Stout and carried.
