<br /> Spillers asked that consideration be given to the advisibility of notifying the property owners the ..r
<br /> last ten days of their extension. This was referred to the Sidewalk Committee.

<br /> construction and when they plan to put in the sidewalk on Finger Avenue and also ask for an extension

<br /> Councilman Weiss stated that the property owner was not required to put in all new sidewalks. They
<br /> are only being asked to put in a driveway and repair the- sidewalk. Mr. T'uite. spoke on the question
<br /> and protested the putting in of the driveway. This was followed by discussion after which Councilman
<br /> Weymouth moved to accept the Committee's recommendation, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried.

<br /> FURTHERCONSIDERATION PROPOSED ANNEXATION FARM HILLS ADDITION NO. 1. Councilman Spillers moved to continue
<br /> this matter on the agenda for one week, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried.
<br /> FURTHER CONSIDERATION R. G. HUNT APPLICATION FOR WATER CONNECTION AT 4160 JEFFERSON AVENUE. The Clerk
<br /> read the letter from Mr. Howells Public Health Engineer, which reads in part as follows:
<br /> "... The San Mateo County Department of Public Health and Welfare agrees that a hardship exists for
<br /> Mr. Hunt, due to failure of his well, and would voice no objection should the Honorable City Council
<br /> approve a water connection to serve the Hunt property.
<br /> In order to assure that no furthercases develop in the future, the
<br /> p , policy of the San Mateo
<br /> County Department of Public Health and Welfare has now been changed. No further construction of
<br /> homes will be permitted in the Emerald Lake area where wells are contemplated as the source of
<br /> water for domestic purposes. Wells will be approved only for irrigation waters."
<br /> Councilman Spillers moved that the permit be granted, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried.
