<br />Invocation was led by Reverend Rowland Edgeworth, First Baptist Church.
<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, John S.
<br />Rosselli, Robert V. Spillers, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Councilman
<br />Louis Weiss was noted absent. Also present were City Manager J. E. Neal, City A ttorney Robert J. Costello,
<br />City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Building Ins pector S. H. Kreiss, Assistant Building Inspector Be C.
<br />Gyselbrecht, Police Chief William Faulstich, Assistant to the City Manager J. Reg Wahly Fire Chief J. L.
<br />Lodi, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, Planning Director Dick Wilkinson, Assistant Planning Director
<br />Leonard Knittel, Planning Commissioner Vincent Rambo, Police Lieutenant Joel Mansfield, and Deputy City
<br />Clerk Vivian Holmquist.
<br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES, November 17th and November 24th. Councilman Spillers moved that the minutes be approved
<br />as mailed, seconded by Councilman Herkne r and carried.
<br />ADOPT ORDINANCE, COONAN INNEXATION. The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. Councilman Weymouth moved
<br />that the Council consider six build.ing.sites subject to annexation fdes, seconded by Councilman Rosselli.
<br />The Clerk was in receipt of a check in the amount of $450. The motion carried.
<br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 918 OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE ANNEX-
<br />ATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "COONAN ANNEXATION" AND
<br />HEREIN DESCRIBED,, AND HEREIN ANNEXING SAID TERRITORY TO SAID CITY OF REUffOOD QTY, seconded by Councilman
<br />Weymouth and carried on roll call, Councilman Weiss being noted absent.
<br />Councilman Herknermoved to introduce the ordinance amending Sections 152, 192, 192.3, 192.7, 192.8 and 193.3
<br />of Ordinance No. 758, being the Traffic Ordinance of the City of Redwood City, and adding thereto Sections
<br />192.14 through 192.19 inclusive, to provide for limited parking on certain designated streetsp and removing
<br />pickup trucks from the classification of vehicles -restricted from all night parking on certain streets,
<br />seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried.
<br />R. A. layers, representing the Citizens of the Government by the People, presented referendum petitions calling
<br />for an election for approval or rejection of Ordinance No. 600.96 rezoning Lots 11 to 13, inclusive, Block 6,
<br />Wood Acre Knolls, from R-3 District to C -1-H District. The Clerk was authorized to receive the petitions
<br />and report his findings at the meeting of December 15th.
<br />Councilman Weymouth moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2601 DECLARING WEEDS A NUISANCE AND ORDERING THEIR REMOVAL
<br />(public hearing December 22nd), seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call, Co1mcilman Weiss
<br />being noted absent.
<br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDS FINAL APPROVAL OF MAP OF FARM HILL SUBDIVISION N0. 6. Councilman Herkner moved
<br />adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2602 APPROVING AND ACCEPTING FINAL MAP OF FARM HILL NO. 6, REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA.,
<br />SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS; APPROVING AND ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT THEREOF; AND,
<br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION CF IMPROVEMENTS FOR SAID SUBDIVISION.,
<br />seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call, Councilman Weiss being noted absent. The Mayor
<br />asked that the minutes shoe that the Clerk had received payment of the annexation fee ($4,200).
