BUREAU RECaWNDS AMENDING TRAFFIC ORIINANCE NO. 758 by adding additional restricted parking areas <br />and a resolution.establishing additonal 2 hour parking meter zones. Councilman Granger moved to carry <br />the matter of the ordinance on the agenda for one week in order to give the Council a chance to study <br />the -matter, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />. Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 2598 ESTABLISHING TWO-HOUR PARKING METER ZONES AT <br />CERTAIN DESIGNATED LOCATIONS (on portions of Jefferson Avenue, Bradford Street, Arugello Street, Broad- <br />way, and Middlefield Road), seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call, Councilman Weiss <br />being noted absent. <br />PAINTING CONTRACTOR REQUESTS EXTENSION OF TIME ON THE ]PAINTING OF THE CITY HALL AND LIBRARY. Councilman <br />Spillers moved that the painting contractor be -given a 14 day extension, seconded by Councilman Herkner <br />and carried. <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2599 TRANSFERRIN $6,000 FROM THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING <br />SUPPLIES AND SERVICES.,ACCOUNT TO THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING CAPITAL OUTLAY ACCOUNT FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />MODIFYING THE CITY HALL TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL OFFICE SPACE FOR CITY DEPAEM ENTS AND MOVING COUNCIL <br />FACILITIES TO THE VETERANS MEMORIAL BUILDING, seconded by Councilman Spillers. Councilman Granger <br />asked the City Attorney to include in the resolution that only the City Council, Planning Commission <br />and Recreation Commission may,use the Veterans Building as far as the change over is concerned. This <br />was included in, the resolution which carried on roll call with CouncilmanWeiss being noted absent. <br />ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1958 UNIFORM BUILDING CODE AND AMENDMENTS. The Clerk read the tile of the proposed <br />ordinance and the title of the B uilding Code to be adopted. Councilman Herkner moved to set the <br />matter for public hearing on December 15th, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Councilman Weymouth adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2600 GRANTING REVOCABLE PERMISSION FOR ENCROACHMENT UPON AND <br />USE OF CERTAIN DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY SITUATE IN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA (J. <br />Franklin SaI man, marina facilities)., seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call, Coun- <br />cilman Weiss being noted absent. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION OF SAN MATEO COUNTY regarding Flood Control and Water Conservation District. <br />Councilman Herkner moved that the Council go on record and concur with the proposal asking our state <br />assemblymen to submit legislation creating a San Mateo County Flood Control and Water Conservation <br />District and requested the Clerk to writ a letter, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />BELMONT WATER DISTRICT requested the City to toi.n in co-operation with them in consideration of San <br />Francisco's neve water rates wit)i other purchasers. The Mayor referred the matter to the City Manager. <br />Councilman Granger reported that Marie Bendeich of 247 Hudson Street had called him and requeste an <br />extension on her sidewalk notice #3.305.
