240 <br />Councilman Rosselli moved introduction of an ordinance amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. 856 to provide increased <br />charges for sewerage service furnished by the City of Redwood City, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and <br />carried on roll call, Councilmen Spillers and Weiss being noted absent. <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2595 APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $13280 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED <br />UNBUDGETED BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND TO THE ACCOUNTS DESIGNATED, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried <br />on roll call, Councilmen Spillers and Weissbeing noted absent. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />REDWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT request the Council to give consideration to modifying the truck ordinance in <br />an endeavor to make possible a more satisfactory Ray of servicing construction projects within the City, <br />or <br />especially the schools. Councilman Rosselli moved to direct the City Attorney to prepare P draft an ordin- <br />ance in the lines discussed with the understanding that they would have a meeting with San Carlos and the .rril <br />Town of Woodside within the next two weeks, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />CARL Be TIEDEMANN tendered his resignation from the Redwood City Planning Commission and asked thatit take <br />effect after the last meeting in December 1958. Councilman Weymouth moved to accept the letter of resignation <br />with the thought in mind that the Clerk send a letter of thanks for his service and regret to his leaving, seo- <br />anded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Letter from Richard F. Lovejoy, President, Public Works Officers' Department, League of California Cities, <br />congratulating Glenn Jain in being elected the Director of Public Works Department. The Mayor extended the <br />Council's congratulations to Mr. Jain. Bob Costello was also given recognition for his work in conjunction <br />with the University of California. <br />The Clerk reminded the Council of the League dinner meeting to be held Thursday night, November 20th. <br />Claims 27434 through 27556, totaling $122,024.11, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Herkner, seconded <br />by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Councilman Granger moved that the meeting be adjourned to Monday, November 24th, at the hour of 8:00 po n., sec- <br />anded by Councilman Herkner and carried. Rosselli, <br />Robert V. Spillers, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Councilman Weiss was <br />noted absent. Also present were City Attorney Robert J. Costello, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Police <br />Captain Theodore Moudakas, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, City Engineer Glenn M.
