240 Councilman Rosselli moved introduction of an ordinance amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. 856 to provide increased charges for sewerage service furnished by the City of Redwood City, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call, Councilmen Spillers and Weiss being noted absent. Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2595 APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $13280 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED UNBUDGETED BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND TO THE ACCOUNTS DESIGNATED, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call, Councilmen Spillers and Weissbeing noted absent. COMMUNICATIONS: REDWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT request the Council to give consideration to modifying the truck ordinance in an endeavor to make possible a more satisfactory Ray of servicing construction projects within the City, or especially the schools. Councilman Rosselli moved to direct the City Attorney to prepare P draft an ordin- ance in the lines discussed with the understanding that they would have a meeting with San Carlos and the .rril Town of Woodside within the next two weeks, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. CARL Be TIEDEMANN tendered his resignation from the Redwood City Planning Commission and asked thatit take effect after the last meeting in December 1958. Councilman Weymouth moved to accept the letter of resignation with the thought in mind that the Clerk send a letter of thanks for his service and regret to his leaving, seo- anded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. Letter from Richard F. Lovejoy, President, Public Works Officers' Department, League of California Cities, congratulating Glenn Jain in being elected the Director of Public Works Department. The Mayor extended the Council's congratulations to Mr. Jain. Bob Costello was also given recognition for his work in conjunction with the University of California. The Clerk reminded the Council of the League dinner meeting to be held Thursday night, November 20th. Claims 27434 through 27556, totaling $122,024.11, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Herkner, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. Councilman Weiss was noted absent. Also present were City Attorney Robert J. Costello, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Police Captain Theodore Moudakas, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Planning Director Dick Wilkinson, Assistant Planning Director Leonard Knittel, Planning Commissioner Vincent Rambo, Police Lieutenant Joel Mansfield and Deputy City Clerk Vivian Holmquist. Councilman Spillers moved that the adoption of the Coonan Annexation ordinance be continued for one week, second- ed by Councilman Rosselli and carried. Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 917 AMEND IIS SECTION 2 CF ORDINANCE NO. 856 TO PROVIDE INCREASED CHARGES FOR SEWERAGE SERVICE FURNISHED BY THE CITY OF REDWOC® CITY, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and car- ried on roll call, Councilman Weiss being noted absent. The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. TAX ROLL CORRECTIONS FOR THE YEAR 1958.59 AS REQUESTED BY THE CITY ASSESSOR. Councilman Weymouth moved to order cancellation in accordance with the request of the City Assessor (Minute order), seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried.
