REQUEST, BY DONNTONN MERCHANTS DIVISION TO PIPE SOUND INTO THEIR BUILDINGS. Councilman Herkner moved that the Chamber of Commerce be granted permission to try out the -system in one block to see if it is really what they want before the Council grants final approval and to refer the matter back to the Staff before final approval by the Council, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. (This revocable permit is to cover the construction and maintenance of the 72" concrete transmission main across the i5f Water Department right-of-way, adjacent to Carson Reservoir). PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF "COONAN N0. 1", school rate. The Mayor asked the Clerk to receive and file the report of the Boundary Commission, the resolution of the Town of Woodside consenting to the detachment and the petition for annexation. The public hearing was set for December 22nd. Councilman Weymouth moved to file the above mentioned documents and adoption of RESCLUTION NO. 2594 BEING THE RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO SAID CITY; DESCRIBING SAID TERRITORY AND DESIGNATING IT BY THE NAME OF "COONAN N0. 1"; MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS RESPECTING SAID PROPOSAL; AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE SAID COUNCIL WILL HEAR PROTESTS THERETO, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call, Councilmen Spillers and Weiss being noted absent.
