Councilman Herkner asked that the motion be <br />made retroactive to the.time the ramps were built. This was included in the motion. After discussions <br />Councilman Stout offered a substitute motion that this be referred to the City Attorney to establish a <br />policy to be followed. This lost for lack of a second. On roll call the original motion lost with Coun- <br />cilmen Grangers Weiss., Weymouth and Mayor Royer voting No. <br />Councilman Spillers moved that the City Manager be authorized to authorize the City Engineer to work his <br />men overtime to work on the plans and specifications seconded by Councilman Stout and carried unanimously + <br />on roll call. <br />Councilman.Weymouth offered RESOLUTION 2415 APPOINTING JAMES E. HEAL THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY and moved its adogtiions seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />CITY MANAGER RECOMMENDATION REGARDING GOLF IN COMMUNITY PARK. Councilman Stout moved approval of the Park and <br />Recreation Commission's recommendation that Community Park be posted prohibiting golfing, other than sup- <br />ervised instructions seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />CITY MANAGER REPORT CN BALANCES IN 600, 700 AND 900 SERIES ACCOUNTS. Councilman Weiss moved that the City <br />Manager compile further information on the 900 series to be presented with the preliminary budgets seconded <br />by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />Councilman Spillers moved to carry this on the agenda for 30 days. This motion lost for lack of a second. <br />Councilman Stout moved reconsideration of the motions seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll <br />call with Councilman Weiss voting No. <br />Councilman Stout moved that they have reconsiderationof the original motion, seconded by Councilman Spillers. <br />The motion carried on roll call which nulified the action of the original motion with Councilmen Granger, <br />Spillers$ Stout$ Weymouth and Mayor Royer voting No and Councilman Weiss voting Yes. <br />Councilman Spillers left the meeting at approximately 10:30 P. m. <br />CITY MANAGER REPORT ON SEWER. RENTAL RATES. After discussion on the report there was considerable discussion with <br />regard to the North Fair Oaks Sewer District. Councilman Granger moved that the City Manager., with the ad- <br />vise of the City Engineers prepare a suitable letter from the Mayor's signature to be directed to the Board <br />of Supervisors asking their intention with regard to the North Fair Oaks Sewer Districts seconded by Council- <br />man Stout and carried. <br />CITY MANAGER REPORT ON FINANCIAL STATUS OF WATER DEPARTMENT. Councilman Weiss moved that the report be accepted <br />and the proper departments be instructed to gather as much da to as they can in due time and have the inform- <br />ation ready for the new City Manager., seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />The Mayor appointed Councilmen Granger., Spillerss Herkner and Weiss as a committee to make arrangements to get <br />out the needed information with regard to the Sewer Bond Issue. Mr. Gerkner and Mr. Howell will help furnish <br />any needed information. <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT ON PROPOSED ENLARGEMENT CF PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1. Councilman Herkner moved to accept the <br />report and set the matter for study meetings seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried. <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT ON PENDING LEGISLATION REGARDING MEMBERSHIP CF BOARD OF DIRECTORS., SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA <br />RAPID TRANSIT DISTRICT. Councilman Herkner moved that the City Attorney's report be approved and a letter <br />be sent to Sacramento asking that consideration be given to. amending the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Tran- <br />sit District Act to permit the appointment to the board of directors of the District of supervisors$ mayors <br />and councilmen, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried. <br />
