158 <br />Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2434 DECLARING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND RESULT OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL <br />ELECTION AND CONSOLIDATED SPECIAL MUNICIPAL BOND ELECTION, HELD ON APRIL 8, 1958, and moved its adoption, <br />seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Results indicated the following received the greatest number of votes and were declared elected: <br />William H. Royer 4220 <br />John S. Rosselli 4213 <br />Ray A. Weymouth 3316 <br />Measure "A" received more than two-thirds of votes cast and carried. <br />Measure "B" failed to secure the necessary votes. Proposition Nos. 1 through 10 received the necessary <br />majority vote and carried. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2434 <br />RESOLUTION CF THE COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF RED900D CITY DECLARING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND <br />RESULT OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION AND CONSOLIDA TED SPECIAL MUNICIPAL BOND ELECTION, <br />HELD ON APRIL 8, 1958. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City; by Resolution No. 2386, duly passed <br />and adopted on February 18, 1958, designated the precincts and polling places and appointed the <br />members of the precinct boards for the general election to be held in said City of Redwood City <br />on April 8, 1958, as required by law, for the objects and purposes of (1) electing the following <br />municipal officers of said City of Redwood City: <br />Three (3) Councilmen for the full term of <br />four (4) years each; and <br />(2) submitting to the voters ten Charter Amendment propositions hereinafter referred to, and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 888 adopted by said Council on February 17, 1958, <br />a special municipal bond election was called for the purpose of submitting to the qualified <br />electors of said City the bond measures and each of them hereinafter specified, which said <br />special municipal bond election was by said Ordinance consolidated with the general municipal <br />election hereinabove referred to; and <br />WHEREAS, said general municipal election and consolidated special municipal bond <br />election was held on Tuesday, April 8, 1958, in accordance with law, and the votes thereat Au <br />received and canvassed, and the returns thereof ascertained, determined and declared in all <br />respects as required by law; %woo <br />Now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, as follows: <br />1, That the City Clerk of the City of Redwood City be, and is hereby, instructed <br />to enter this resolution on the minutes of this Council as a statement of the result of said <br />election. <br />2. ThAt`the whole number of votes cast in said City at said consolidated general and <br />special municipal bond election was 8,485 votes. That 56 ballots were spoiled and not counted. <br />I <br />3.
