Royer, John S. Ross ellis and Ray A. <br />Weymouth a Certificate of Election and to administer to each of said persons the Oath of Office pre— <br />scribed in the Constitution of the State of California. <br />PASSED AND -ADOPTED this i 4th day of April, 1958s by the f ollowing vote: <br />AYES: Councilmen Granger, Herkner, Spillers, Stout, Weiss, Weymouth and Mayor Royer. <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />Signed: William H. Dodge <br />City Cler — <br />Remarks were made by Hiram Stout, John Rossellis Ray Weymouth and William Royer. <br />Councilman Granger moved that the Council adjourn sine die, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />Meeting adjourned., 9:145 p• m. <br />City Clerk -Dodge called the meeting to order at 9:55 p• m9 and administered the Oath of Office to the <br />newly elected members of the City Council, William Royer, John Rosselli and Ray Weymouth. He then <br />asked for nominations for Mayor for the next two years. Councilman Herkner nominated William Royer. <br />Councilman Weiss moved that the nominations be closed and the Clerk cast a white ballot for Council— <br />man Royer, seconded by Councilman Roselli and carried unanimously. The Clerk declared Councilman <br />Royer Mayor for the next ensuing two years. <br />Mayor Royer took over the Mayorts chair and proceeded with the regular order of business. <br />REPORT ON BID OPENING, SALE CF L7S l4°AND 21., BLOCK 129 WEST REDWOOD (Sale of City's interest only). <br />i.... Councilman Weiss moved to accept the bid of Michael Callan and referred the matter to the City Attorney <br />for the proper resolution, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />PETITION (43 signatures) PROTESTING LOCATION OF WATER TANK IN HIGHLANDS OF EMERALD LAKE SUBDIVISION N0. 5 <br />(on Wilmington Way). Councilman Spillers moved to set the matter for Thursday night study meetings <br />the City Engineer to bring in a map showing the location of the people protesting the location sites <br />seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />
