CITY ENGINEER LETTER REGARDING PETITION FOR BEECH STREET IMPROVMENTS. 64% of the people signed the petition for street improvements. Councilman Weymouth moved that the firm of Currie, Lebsack and Hannig be hired to handle the legal contract for. the assessment district at the usual 2% figure, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. Councilman Weiss moved that the City Engineer be authorized and directed to proceed with the creation of an assessment district and authorized the creation of a special fund from the general Fund for the ad- vancement of construction plans and specifications, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried.
