PROPER DEVELOPMENT OF THE PORT OF REDWOOD CITY. The Chamber <br />of Commerce requested full co --operation .df the City Council to the activites of a Chamber appointed <br />d <br />ir.. <br />committee for the purpose of investigation and recommendation on further procedures to insure the dev- <br />elopment of the Port. Gean Davis, First Christian Church. <br />t <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilman Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, John S. <br />Rosselli, Robert V. Spillers, Louis Weiss, Ray A. Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk <br />R. S. Dodge. Also present were City. Manager E. A. Rolison, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, City Attorney <br />Robert J. Costello, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, Planning Dir- <br />ector William Rodgers, Police Chief William Faulstich, Police Captain Theodore Moudakas, Recreation <br />Commissioner William Hanley$ Planning Commissioner Mitchell Webber, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi and Senior <br />Stenographer Clerk Vivian Holmquist. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES, APRIL 7th AND lythe Councilman Spillers moved approval of the minutes as mailed, <br />seconded by Councilman Rosselli who asked that his name be corrected to John S.. The motion carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, REZONE AREA BOUNDED BY NORTHUMBERLAND, EL CAMINO%REAL, CHARTER STREET AND S.P.R.R. FROM <br />"U" TO M AND C -1-H DISTRICT. The notice of mailing was ordered filed. There being no protests, <br />written or oral, CouncilAan Spillers moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman <br />r^ Rosselli and carried. Councilman Spillers offered introduction of the ordinance, seconded by Council- <br />man Rosselli and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, REZONE LOT 5, BLOCK 102 ROBINSON SUBDIVISION (1337 Jefferson Avenue) FROM R-3 to R-4,4 <br />The notice of mailing was ordered filed. After considerable discussion, Councilman W*iss moved that <br />the public hearing be continued one week and authorized the City Attorney to negotiate for an option <br />to a five foot strip of land for street purposes, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll <br />call, Councilmen Spillers and Weymouth voting No. <br />CITY MANAGER REPORT ON EMPLOYMENT OF RIGHT-OF-WAY AGENT FOR WIDENING OF JEFFERSON AVENUE. Councilman Weiss <br />moved that this item be carried on the agenda for one week, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />CITY ATTORNEY OPINION REGARDING CITY PARTICIPATION IN ADVERTISING IN FLORAL FIESTA EDITION.
