IS5 <br />Minutes of the Regular Adjourned Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />May 26, 1958, 8:00 P. M. <br />INVOCATION was led by Reverend Ralph Benson, North Fair Oaks Community Church. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following Were noted present: Councilmen Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, John S. <br />Rosselli, Louis Weiss, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Councilman <br />Spillers was noted absent due to the death of his father. Also present were City Manager J. E. Neal, <br />6 <br />City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, City Attorney Robert J. Costello, Police Chief William Faulstich, Water <br />Superintendent H. L. Winter, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, Planning Director William Rodgers, Building Inspect- <br />or S. H. Kreiss, Police Captain Theodore Moudakas, and Deputy City Clerk -Vivian Holmquist. <br />PUBLIC HEARING; PROPOSED ATOMATION OF LCT 17, JOHNSON SUBDIVISION (ADJOINING SEQUOIA HOSPITAL PROPERTY). <br />fir.. The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. There were not protests. Rppat Investment Corporation <br />filed With the clerk a letter waiving any and all notice requirements in connection with the annexation <br />proceedings. A check was also received in the amount of $275.00 ($225.00 for annexation fees on 3 <br />parcels and $50.00 charge for publication costs). Councilman Rosselli moved to close the public hear- <br />ing, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved adoption of RESOLUTION 2476 BEING THE RESOLUTION OF THE -COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />CF REDWOOD CITY FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PROTEST TO THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED IAT 170 JOHNSON SUBDIVISION HAS NOT BEEN MADE BY OWNERS <br />OF ONE-HALF OF THE VALUE CF SUCH TERRITORY AS SHOWN BY THE LAST EQUALIZED ASSESSMENT ROLL, NOR BY PUBLIC <br />AND PRIVATE OWNERS EQUAL TO ONE-HALF OF THE VALUE OF SUCH TERRITORY AS DETERMINED BY SAID COUNCIL, sec- <br />onded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />Councilman Herkner introduced an ordinance of the City of Redwood City approving the annexation to the <br />City of Redwood City of certain uninhabited territory designated "Lot 17, Johnson Subdivision" and <br />herein describedsand herein annexing said territory to said of City of -Redwood City, seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Granger and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PETITION OF JOHN D. TEHANEY TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6003, BEING THE ZONING FLAN CF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, TO REZONE ALL CF LOTS 102 112 AND 13, BLOCK "E", WOODSIDE ACRES NO. 1, AND THE <br />NE#Ly 1151 OF THE NwILY 501 OF LOT 111, SAID BLOCK "E" AND THE NORTHEASTERLY 105.351 x 228.711 PORTION <br />OF LOT 12 FRONTING ON KENTFIELD AVENUE, IN SAID BLOCK "E", WOODSIDE ACRES NO. 10 ALSO DESCRIBED AS <br />1570-1578-1604-3.610-1634-1640-1652-1664-1670 and 1684 KENTFIELD AVENUE, FROM R-2 TO R -3-G DISTRICT. <br />The affidavit of notice was ordered filed. The Clerk read the letter from the Planning Commission <br />and also a letter from Attorney Lebsack asking that the hearing be continued until the middle of <br />June. There being rlo protests, Councilman Rosselli moved to continue the matter until June 16th, sec- <br />onded by Councilman Weiss and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON CLINTON STREET CULVERT IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (Between Roosevelt Avenue and Oak Avenue). <br />The affidavits of publication and posting were ordered filed. There being no protests, written or <br />oral, Councilman Weymouth moved that the ptiblic hearing be closedv seconded by Councilman Rosselli <br />and carried. <br />�-, Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION 2477 BEING THE RESOLUTION OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND <br />NECESSITY, MINTON STREET CULVERT, seconded by. Councilman Granger and carried on r oll call, Councilman <br />Spillers being noted absent. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION 2478 APPROnNG PLANS, PROFILES, DETAILED DRAWINGS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS, CLINTON STREET CULVERT, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call, <br />Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved adoption of RESOLUTION 2479 BEING THE RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT <br />
