Kilgallen to move a four bedroom <br />house from 1870 Valota Road to Lot 1$ Block 13$ Highlands of Emerald Lake No. 1$ Utah Street$ be granted <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />1. That the structure not be cut in two for moving purposes; <br />2. That the applicant meets $1,000 minimum bonding requirements as recommended by <br />by the City Engineer, <br />The Planning Commission also included in their letter the route over which the house could be moved and <br />and do the least damage to street trees. Councilman Weymouth moved that the permit be granted subject to <br />the above mentioned conditions$ seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />Cor manicaticn from the California State Legislative Committee Order of Railway Conductors and Brakemen <br />calling the Council's attention to Application No. 39719 of the Southern Pacific Company before the Calif- <br />ornia Public Utilities Commission for authority to discontinue Trains Nos. 155 and No. 156 between San <br />Jose and San Francisco and serving the City of Redwood City. Public hearing will be held May 2 6, 28$ and <br />29$ 1958s bef+dre the California Public Utilities Commission in San Francisco., at which time the application <br />will be considered. Councilman Spillers moved to instruct the City Manager to write a letter of protest$ <br />seconded by Councilman Granger. This was followed by discussion after which Councilman Spillers changed <br />his motion to refer the matter to the City Manager for further information$ seconded by Councilman Granger <br />and carried. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION 2473. AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT FCR INSTALLATICN OF SYNCRONIZED <br />TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT CERTAIN DESIGNATED STREET -RAILROAD INTERSECTIONS$ seconded by Councilman Spillers and <br />carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Granger moved adoption of RESOLUTION 2472 DESIGNATING AMID DECLARING FRIDAY$ MAY 30th$ 1958$ AS A DAY <br />CF OBSERVANCE IN THE CITY CF REDWOOD CITY$ seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved adoption of RESOLUTION 2473 REQUESTING REMOVAL OF REAL PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY FROM COUNTY ASSESSMENT ROLLS AND CANCELLA TION OF OUTSTANDING TAXES THEREON, seconded by Council- <br />man Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION 2474 AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE WAREHOUSE ISSUE SHEET <br />AGREEMENTS <br />FOR AND ON BEHALF CF THE CITY OF REDffOCD CITY, OFFICE OF CIVIL DEFENSE$ seconded by Councilman <br />Granger and carried unanimously on roll call* <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION 2475 DECLARING PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY FOR THE ACQUISITION <br />(F CERTAIN DESCRIBED INTERESTS IN REAL PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION BY CITY OF AN OPTION TO PURCHASE <br />SAID DESIGNATED INTERESTS FOR THE TOTAL PURCHASE PRICE CF $8$900$ SEconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried <br />unanimouslyo <br />Claims 25729 through 25897$ totaling $46$534.25$ were ordered paid onmotion of Councilman Rosselli, seconded by <br />Councilman Granger and carried. <br />Councilman Spillers moved that the meeting be adjourned to Monday$ May 26$ 1958$ at the hour of 8:00 penes see- <br />onded by Councilman Granger and carried.
