PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDS THAT THE CITY ASSIST THE SUBDIVIDER OF PALM MANOR SUBDIVISION BY ACQUIRING <br />AN EASEMENT FOR STORM DRAINAGE OUTSIDE OF HIS SUBDIVISION TO KENTFIELD AVENUE. Councilman Weymouth <br />moved to refer the matter to the City Attorney for a written opinion, seconded by Councilman Weiss <br />and carried. <br />""'SIGNAL <br />OIL COMPANY APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE FROM THE STRICT APPLICATION OF THE TERMS <br />OF SECTION 5 OF <br />OADIId- <br />.. <br />AINCE NO. 639, THE SIDEWALK AND DRIVEWAY ORDINANCE, TO ALLOW THE CONSTRUCTION CF <br />THREE imi.4- ,rrAYS <br />AT THE <br />SIGNAL OIL COMPANY SERVICE STATION AT 1201 EL CAMINO REAL. Councilman Weymouth moved to approve the <br />application, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted <br />absent. <br />REQUEST FROM MRS. Councilman Weymouth moved <br />6 <br />to deny the request, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers <br />being noted absent. <br />VERIFIED CLAIM FOR ALLEGED PROPERTY DAMAGE AT REAR OF THE PROPERTY AT 13 JAMES AVENUE (ROBERT, EDNA AND <br />PERRY DOW* Councilman k eymouth moved to deny the claim and refer it to our insurance carrier, <br />seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION 2483 ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL PLAN LINES FOR THE PROPOSED <br />EXTENSION OF REGENT STREET BETWEEN REDWOOD AVENUE AND APPROXIMATELY 213 FEET NORTHWESTERLY OF WOODSIDE <br />ROAD LOCATED BETWEEN OXFORD STREET AND GORDON STREET WITH A CONNECTING PLAN LINE nz.Lvv&,4 LOT 7 AND LOT <br />9, BLOCK "H"', WOODSIDE ACRES NUMBER 1 FROM REGENT STREET TO OXFORD STREET, seconded by Councilman Weiss <br />and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />Councilman Granger offered RESOLUTION 2484 PROVIDING DESIGNATED CERTIFICATIONS BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FOR THE PURPCSE OF APPLYING FOR A PLANNING IRAN FROM THE SMALL CRAFT HARBORS <br />COMAMSION, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted <br />absent. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION 2485AUTHCRIZING THE ABANDONMENT OF CERTAIN PUBLIC UTILITY <br />EASEMENTS IN BLOCK 9 AND BLOCI 103, REDWOOD TERRACE N0. 4* seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried on <br />roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION 2486 CONSENTING TO RELEASE OF CERTAIN RESTRICTIONS, COVE- <br />NANTS AND CONDITIONS FROM PORTIONS OF LOTS 7, 8, AND 9, BLOCK "I", WOCASIDE ACRES NO. 12 seconded by <br />Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />CITY MANAGER REPORT CION CIVIL DEFENSE. The City Manager reported that he talked with Miss Oddstad and in- <br />formed her that the program is set up by the Federal Government and the City of Redwood City has no <br />authority to make any changes. He had no objections to the Council setting up a Civilian Survival <br />Week except that some agency other than the City would have to handle the activities. <br />Councilman Weiss moved to refer the matter to the City Manager and requested that he confer with the <br />County, seconded by Councilman Rosselli, Councilman Weymouth amended the motion to refer this to <br />the Civilian Defense Committee, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call, Councilman <br />Spillers being noted absent. <br />Councilman Rosselli referred to the putting in of a service station in back of the County Building for <br />County cars. The City Manager was asked to check into this. Councilman Granger asked that he also <br />check back in the records to see what the recommendation was with regard to the possibility of the <br />City getting a park on a portion of the last lot obtained by the County. <br />The Clerk was asked to get the Civilian Defense Committee together for swearing in. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried.
