(C. G. Uhlenberg & Co.) <br />Councilman Spillers suggested that City Manager be authorized to contact Sacramento in an effort to have <br />the State reach an early decision in widening Woodside Road and also to proceed with the Spruce to <br />Bayshore Freeway project. It was decided that City Manager had the necessary authority to proceed <br />iwr <br />as he saw fit. <br />Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION COLO MORATING MEMORY OF STERLING OAKMANr employee of 26 years <br />se::vice with the City, and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call. <br />Councilman Granger offered RESOLUTION C012MORATING MEMORY OF HAROLD F. ANDERSON, former Mayor and Council- <br />man of the City, and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adjournment, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. Scratch, Assembly of God Church. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present : Councilmen Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, John S. <br />Rosselli, Louis Weiss, Ray Weyn outh., Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also present <br />were City &pager J. E. Neal-, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, City Attorney Robert J. Costello, Water <br />Superintendent H. L. Winter, Planning Commissioner Vincent Rambo, Traffic -Engineer Arthur Eskelin., <br />Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Police Chief William Faulstich and Deputy City Clerk Vivian Holmquiste, <br />Councilman Herkner moved approval of the minutes of July 21st and 28th, 1958, as mailed, seconded by <br />Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON APPLICATION OF PETER J. GRUSARO, 1903 EL CAMINO REAL, FOR USED AUTOMOBILE DEALER'S PERMIT. <br />The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman <br />Weymouth moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved that the permit be granted as recommended by the Planning Commission, second- <br />ed by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING ESTABLISHMENT OF OFFICIAL PLAN LINES ON -JEFFERSON AVENUE BETWEEN EL CAMINO REAL AND <br />UPTON STREET. The affidavits of publication and mailing were -ordered -filed. After considerable dis- <br />cussions Councilman Herkner moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and <br />carried. Councilman Granger moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 2526 ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL PLAN LINES ON <br />JEFFERSON AVENUE BErWEEN,EL-CAMINO REAL AND UPTON STREET, seanded by Councilman Herkner and carried on <br />roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />Councilman Weiss moved that this Council instruct the City Manager and Plalning Department to re-examine <br />the entire question of Jefferson Avenue widening and its related problems and that such re-examination <br />be co-ordinated With the study requested of the Planning Commission by Council motion of November 18, <br />
