ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, John S. Rosselli, Robert V. Spillers, Louis Weiss, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also x esent wer City Manager Janes E. Neal, City Attorney Robert J. Costello, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, Police Chief William Faulstich, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Auditor -Assess or John J. Brophyq and Planning Dirsctor William Rodgers. PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANNING C0MIISSION RECMBENDATION TO REZONE LOTS 4 TO 8, BLOCK 2 AND THE SOUTMESTERLY 50f of LOT 53 BLOCK 3, DUMBARTON ACRES NO. 2 FROM "U"t DISTRICT TO ''M" DISTRICT. Affidavit of publication was order- ed filed. There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman Herkner moved public hearing be closed, sec- onded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. Councilman Spillers moved introduction of Ordinance, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 907 AMENDING SECTION 2 CF ORDINANCE N0, 824, SALARY ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH NEW CLASS- IFICATIONS AND SALARY RANGES THEREFORE. Affidavit of publication was ordered filed. Councilman Weiss moved adoption of ordinance, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call. RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2524 TO INSTITUTE PROCEEDINGS TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 600 TO REZONE LOTS 11 TO 13, INCLUSIVE, BLOCK 6 WOODACRE KNOLLS FRCM R-3, DISTRICT TO C -1-H DISTRICT. Councilman Granger offered resol- ution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call. The consensus of opinion was that the adoption of this resolution did not commit anyone, and all councilmen reserved the right to vote as he sees fit at the time the matter canes before the council for final action. -0 APPOINTMENT OF PLA14NING COMMISSIONERS. Mitchell Webber, James MacDonald and Carl B. Tiedemann were reappointed for a three year term commencing July 1, 1958 on motion of Councilman Herkner, seconded by Councilman Rosselli .m1 and carried. Magor Royer was called from the meeting at 8:18 p. m. and Councilman Granger acted as Mayor Pro -Tem on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. PLANNING CCHMISSION RECOMMENDATION TO ALLOW RICHARD ARI11OTO TO MOVE HOUSE FROM 1507 VALOTA ROAD TO A LOT ADJOIN- ING TO ALLON EXTENSION OF PALM AVENUE. Area involved is in R-2 district. Councilman Spillers moved approval, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION TO GRANT EXCEPTION TO SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS TO All LOT WITH 42t FRONTAGE AT 2430 HOPKINS AVENUE. Jack Kramer, 2435 Hopkins Avenue appeared in protest stating his opinion that the prcpert;T should be resubdivided in the middle which would necessitate moving a house standing on the remain- der of the lot.' After discussion, Councilman Spillers moved that the matter be continued for one geek to allow time for councilmen to look over the rroperty. Motion seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. Mayor Romer returned at 8:25 P. m. and resumed the duties of Mayor. PLANNING 00191ISSION RECOMMEND PLAN LINES FOR CMU31ETIO14 OF ROSE AVENUE BE7ffEEN BAY ROAD AMID PAGE STREET. Coun- cilman Spillers moved that the matter be set for public hearing on August 11, 1958, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. PLANKING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION TO REZONE LOTS 3, 4 AND 6, BLOCK 9, KENSINGTON SQUA RE (Sly corner Jefferson and Ala -nada) FRCIA R-1 TO C -N DISTRICT. Public hearing was set for August 18, 1,58 on motion of Councilman Herkner, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. PLANNING C015AISSION RECOMMENDATION TO REZONE BLOCK "B" AND PORTION OF BLOCK "I'll WOODSIDE ACRES NO. 11 FROM R-2 TO R -3-G DISTRICT. Councilman Rosselli moved that the public hearing be set for August 18, 1958, sec- onded by Councilman Herkner and carried.
