<br />The Police Chief and City Manager recommended that the low bid of Davies Auto Company in the amount

<br />of $2,553.43 be accepted and that the two 1958 Chevrolet sedans, Model 1249, be puchased. Councilman
<br />Rosselli moved to approve the City J,�anagerls recommendation and accept the low bid of Davies Auto
<br />Company, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried.
<br />Redwood Chapter 1203, Order of DeUolay asked for permission to paint house numbers on the curbs.
<br />Councilnan Spillers moved to refer this matter to the City Manager with the thought that he would
<br />have the authority to proceed after he had investigated the previous policy and standards, seconded
<br />by Councilman Granger and carried.
<br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2521 REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE OF THE STATE
<br />OF CALIFORNIA TO PREPARE AN ESTIMATE OF POPULATION INCREASE AND APPRVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION C&'
<br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY AND DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR PREPARATION OF
<br />SUCY ESTIMATE BY THE DEPAMAENTOF FINANCE AND PAYMENT THEREFOR BY CITY, seconded by Councilman Herkner
<br />and carried unanimously on roll call.
<br />ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 856, THE SANITARY SEWER REGULATORY ORDINANCE, BY ADDING THERETO SECTION
<br />7.1 PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY TO CONTRACT WITH PUBLIC AGENCIES FOR THE FURNISHING CF SEWAGE SERVICES.
<br />Councilman Weiss moved that this matter be tabled until further notice. After discussion, Councilman
<br />Weiss changed his motion to carry this matter on the agenda for two weeks, August 4th, seconded by
<br />Co ncilman Herkner and carried.
<br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2522 AUTHORZING SALE OF CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY-OffNED
<br />REAL PROPERTY TO ETHEL M. KRAEMER FOR A PURCHASE PRICE OF $100.00, SEconded by Councilman Herkner and
<br />carried unanimously on roll call.
<br />Councilman Spillers moved introduction of an ordinance amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. 824, being the
<br />salary ordinance of the City of Redwood City, and adding thereto Sections 2.84 and 2.91 inclusive,
<br />to establish certain new classifications of employment and salary ranges therefor, seconddd by Council-
<br />�.... man Rosselli and carried.
<br />Councilman Weymouth moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2523 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT BETUEEN CITY OF
<br />REDWOOD CITY, FAIR OAKS SEWER MAINTENANCE DISTRICT, AND COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, PROVIDING FOR CONSTRUCTION,
<br />FINANCING,. OWNERSHIP AND USE OF PROPOSED ADDITIONS AND ENLARGEMENTS TO REDWOOD CITY SEWAGE TREATMENT
<br />PLANT AND ATTENDANT FACILITIES, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call.
<br />Claims 26322 through 26450, totaling $122,793.81, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Herkner, second-
<br />ed by Councilman Spillers and carried.
<br />Councilman Spillers moved that the meeting be adjourned to Monday, July 28th, at the hour of 8:00 p. m.,
<br />seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. Meeting adjourned, 9:20 p. m.
