36 <br />November 9th, the regular meeting of November 9th and the adjourned meeting of November 13th subject to the <br />correction as noted above, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING ON BROADWAY LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS. The Mayor announced that the circulator of <br />the petition, Mitch Webber, asked that this matter be held over until the aecond meeting in January. Since <br />there were no objections, Councilman Spillers moved to continue the public hearing until the second meeting <br />in January, January 11th (MINUTE ORDER #59-194), seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT (A PORTION OF TEN FOOT PUBLIC UTILITY <br />EASEMENT IN BLOCK 9, WOODSIDE TERRACE NO. 2). The public hearing was declared open and the affidavits of <br />posting and publication ordered filed. There were no written communications. The Mayor explained to the <br />audience that this was not a part of Anamor Park but a part of Kentucky Park which had alread been abandoned. <br />..ri <br />There being no objections, written or oral, Councilman Spillers moved that the public hearing be closed, sec- <br />onded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2910 VACATING A PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT, seconded by <br />Councilman Granger and ca rried unanimously on roll call. <br />REPORT ON BID OPENING, TWO POLICE CARS. The following bids were received: <br />Ferris Miles Equipment Co., Inc. - 1960 Dodge Dart Seneca <br />Car 40 Cost $20276.51 Car 42 Cost $2,276.51 <br />Allowance 1,075.00 Allowance 1,075.00 <br />Net cost $1,201.51 Net cost $1,201.51 <br />Total bid for the purchase of both cars $2083.02. <br />Davies Auto Company - 1960 Chevrolet Biscayne Fleetmaster, Model 1419 <br />Car 40 Cost $2002.05 Car 42 Cost $2,302.05 <br />Allowance 900.00 Allowance 900.00 <br />Net cost $4402.05 Net cost $1,402.05 <br />Total bid for the purchase of both cars $2,804.10. <br />Towne Motor Company - 1960 Ford -8 four door <br />Car 40 Cost $22296.90 Car 42 Cost $2,296.90 <br />Allowance 550.00 Allowance 550.00 <br />Net cost $12746.90 Net cost $1,746.90 <br />Total bid for the purchase of both cars $3,493.80• <br />It was recommended that the low bid of Ferris Miles Equipment Co., Inc. be accepted and that two 1960 Dodge <br />Dart Seneca automobiles be purchased at a total net cost of $2,383.02 . <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 29U AWARDING CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING OF NEW AUTOMOBILES; <br />AND REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />ACCEPTANCE OF TWO WOODEN WATER TANKS IN EMERALD LAKE. It was recommenddd that the Council accept the construction <br />of two redwood water tanks and a new redwood cover on an existing tank in the Emerald Lake area by the George 1,44 <br />W'indeler Compaby, subject to the following conditions. <br />1. Guarantee against any defects in workmanship and materials which may appear within one year from the date <br />of acceptance. <br />2. "Payment of all charges owed the City. <br />Councilman Fields moved to accept the projects subject to the guarantee against any defects in workmanship and <br />materials which may appear within one year from the date of acceptance and payment of all. charges owed the <br />City (MINUTE ORDER #59-195), seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously. <br />Resolution ordering sale of bonds, Bayshore Industrial Park No. 1. The City Manager read a letter submitted by <br />L. H. Price, Sr., wherein he asked that the Council put off action on the proposed bid taking for one week. <br />The letter went into detail on why Mr. Price wanted the delay. After considerable discussion, Councilman <br />Granger moved to continue this matter for one week, seconded by Councilman Spillers. After further discussion, <br />
