Rosselli, Robert V. Spillers, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also noted present were City Manager J. E. Neal, City Attorney Robert J. Costello, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Assistant Planning Director Leonard Knittel, Police Chief William Faulstich, Police Captain Theodore Moudakas, Police Lieutenant Joel Mansfield, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Recreat- ion Director Alfred Morton and Deputy City Clerk Vivian Holmquist. Councilman Weymouth moved approval of the minutes of March 16th as mailed, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. Lodi PUBLIC HEARING ON ANNEXATION OF "ELKS" PROPERTY. The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman Spillers moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. The assessed valuation report was ordered filed. Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2671 BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PROTEST TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TER- RITORY DESIGNATED "ELKS" ANNEXATION HASNOT BEEN MADE BY OWNERSOF ONE-HALF CF THE VALUE OF S9CH TERRITORY AS SHOWN BY THE LAST EQUALIZED ASSESSMENT ROLL, NOR BY PUBLIC AND PRIVATE OWNERS EQUAL TO ONE-HALF OF THE VALUE OF SUCH TERRITORY AS DETERMINED BY SAID COUNCIL, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call. Councilman Granger moved introduction of an ordinance of the City of Redwood City approving the annexation to the City of Redwood City of certain uninhabited territory designated "Elks Annexation" and herein des- cribed, and herein annexing said territory to said City of Redwood City, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried.
