KERR to amend Section 4.1 of Ordinance No. 600, to re- <br />zone from R-1 District to R-3 District, Lots 24, 26 and 27, Block 4, Map of Subdivision "A" of Wellesley <br />Park, said property being located at 226 Edgewood Road. The public hearing was declared open and the <br />affidavits of notice were ordered filed* The report of the Planning Commission was read. There were no <br />were no -written communications. Mr. Lynn Whittam, 273 Edgewood Road, Norton Batkin, 148 Oakdale Street, <br />Mrs. H. Nelson, 171 Wellesley Crescent, Mrs. Wm. Roehr, 218 Oakdale Street, and Mrs. A. Rice, 292 Edge - <br />wood Road, objected to the rezoning. There being no further protests, Councilman Spillers moved that the <br />public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved that the application be denied bnd the proceedings terminated (MINUTE ORDER <br />#59-125), seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 942 AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE N0. 525, ENTITLED "AN <br />ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND HRESCRIBING THE <br />TERMS OF THE MEMBERS THEREOF AND DEFINING THE P09ERS AND DUTIES OF X CH CO!MMISSION," TO PROVIDE THAT THE <br />REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION SHALL BE IN THE VETERANS MEMORIAL BUILDING, REDWOOD <br />CITY, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call, Councilmen Fields, Herkner, Rossellis <br />Spillers, Weymouth and Mayor Royer voting yes and Councilman Granger voting no because the Veterans Me- <br />morial Commission had not stated whether or not they approved the use of their building. The affidavit <br />of publication was ordered filed. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 943 AMENDING SECTION 2.101 OF ORDINANCE NO. 824, BEING THE <br />SALARY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, TO PROVIDE FOR AN INCREASE IN THE HOURLY NAGE OF ENGINEERING <br />CONSTRUCTION INSPECTORS, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried unanimously on roll call. The affidavit <br />M <br />Gs <br />.wd <br />of publication was ordered filed. <br />Report on bid opening for repair of sidewalks, etc* was taken off the agenda for one week - agenda July 27, 1959. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 2809 INVITING BIDS FOR THE SALE OF BONDS, ROSE AVENUE EX- <br />TENSION AND IMPROVEMENTS, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Request approval of plans and specifications and authorization to call for bids for the improvement of Alameda <br />de las Pulgas from Roosevelt A venue to Vera Avenue., Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. <br />2810 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR MAJOR CITY STREET PROJECT NO. 76, RESURFACING OF ALAMEDA DE LAS <br />W <br />PULGAS (VERA AVENUE TO ROOSEVELT AVENUE) IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO ADVER- <br />TISE FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION THEREOF, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and the Redwood City Chamber cf Commerce. Councilman Rosselli <br />moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 2811 AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND REDWOOD CITY <br />ti <br />CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR MAINTENANCE OF AN INDUSTRIAL AND CO?1MER.CIAL DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT PROGRAM IN CITY <br />CF REDWOOD CITY, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Request Authorization to call for bids on replacement of police Car #48• Councilman Spillers moved adoption of <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2812 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR A NEff AUTOMOBILE AND AUTHORIZING CALLING OF BIDS THEREFOR, <br />seconded by Councilman Granger and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Planning Commission recommends approval of final map, MacDonald Subdivision. The Planning Commission recommended <br />that the map be approved subject to the following conditions <br />1. Execution of agreement to be prepared by the City Attorney. <br />2. Furnishing of performance bond and labor and material bond, each in the amount of $53,000. <br />
