Councilman Spillers moved _adoption, seconded by Councilman Fields <br />and carried on roll call, Councilman Weymouth being noted absent. <br />ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 947 APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "LESLIE ANNEXATION <br />NO. 3-A"' TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY. Councilman Granger moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Fields <br />and carried on roll call, Councilman Weymouth being noted absent. <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 2844 TRANSFERRING $1,700 FROM "UNALLOCATED TO SPECIAL PROJECT"' ACCOUNT OF CAPITAL <br />PROJECTS FUND TO "POWER DRIVEN SEWER LINE CLEANER" ACCOUNT; TRANSFERRING $940 FROM "UNALLOCATED TO <br />SPECIAL PROJECT" TO BE DESIGNATED "AUTOMOTIC TRAFFIC. COUNTER" ACCOUNT. Councilman Spillers moved adopt- <br />ion, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried on roll call, Councilman Weymouth being noted absent. <br />P'"' REPORT ON BID OPENING,, AUTOMOBILE FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT. The only bid received was the one from Davies <br />Auto Company, who bid a net cost of $1,423.44, Competitive bids were lacking due to inability to f urn- <br />ish care due,to manufacturers -re -tooling. Councilman Herkner moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 2845 AWARD- <br />ING BID TO DAVIES AUTO COMPANY, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call, Councilman <br />Weymouth being noted absent. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2846 APPROVTNG SPECIFICATIONS FOR SEWER RODDING MACHINE AND AUTHORIZING CALL FOR BIDS. Coun- <br />cilman Spillers moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call, Councilman <br />Weymouth being noted absent. <br />REQUEST FOR AUTHORITY TO ADVERTISE FOR, INSTALLATION OF TWO WOODEN WATER TANKS. Council, after discussion, <br />agreed upon introduction of an ordinance transferring the necessary funds within the Water Department, <br />said ordinance to be necessary as an emergency measure. Resolution will be offered at the next meet- <br />ing to authorize advertisement for bids* <br />F„* Councilman Rosselli moved introduction of emergency ordinance car_celling appropriation in the Water <br />Department Capital Outlay and appropriating riating $10,000 to Water Department Capital Outlay for construction <br />of tanks and appurtenances, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />CITY MANAGER'S RECO;,IMENDATION ADVANCEMENT AND SALARY INCREASE OF CITY ATTORNEY FROM STEP #4 TO STEP #5 <br />effective September 1, 1959, Councilman Herkner moved approval, seconded by Coi cilman Rosselli and <br />carried. <br />Petition for annexation, uninhabited territory designated "Sequoia Terrace". Councilman Spillers moved <br />adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2847 GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION; DESCRIBING SAID TERRITORY; <br />GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE PROTESTS WILL BE HEARD, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried on <br />roll call, Councilman Weymouth being noted absent. <br />City Manager will discuss matter with Mr. Shaw, the developer, in an effort to work out a solution of <br />the sewer problem. Councilman Granger moved that the matter be referred to the Planning Commission in <br />order that they may work out the number of lots to be involved. Developer will ,pay publication costs. <br />r Motion was seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call, Councilman Weymouth being noted <br />pr.r <br />absent. <br />REPORT OF SIDEWALK CCMMITTEE. Committee recommends extension of 14 requests to October 10, 1959 one r e - <br />quest to September 30, 1959; denial to request of R. R. and R. M. Oeser. Councilman Spillers moved <br />�• approval of the Sidewalk Committee's recommendations, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. <br />s <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2848 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />FOR ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH DEVELOPMENT OF MUNICIPAL MARINA, Seconded by <br />Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call, Councilman Weymouth being noted absent. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2849 CONSENTING TO TRANSFER OF CONTROL AND JURISDICTION OVER PORTION OF PORT AREA. This <br />resolution covers transfer of approximately 2.8042 acres adjacent to the present marina. Councilman <br />Spillers moved adoption of the resolution, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call, <br />
