Coun- <br />cilman Royer moved that the City employees who particiapted in the preparation of the float be commended, <br />seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of July 25th were approved as mailed on motion of Councilman Herkner, <br />seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried. <br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HBARING on Official Plan Lines for the extension of Northumberland and Madrone Streets <br />from the terminus of Madrone Street to the centerline of Boicelli Avenue and from the present terminus <br />of Northumberland to the proposed extension of Madrone Street. Councilman Royer moved continuation of <br />this public hearing to August 15th, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />BID OPENING, SALE OF BONDS FOR JONES COURT n1PROVEMENT. The following bids were received: <br />First California Company, 94j% of par, plus accrued interest, coupon interest rate 5 3/4%. <br />S.C. Pohlman Company, 96.28125% of par, plus accrued interest, coupon interest rate 6%. <br />Stone & Youngberg, 96% of the principal amount thereof, plus accrued interest, coupon interest <br />rate 6%. <br />Councilman Royer moved that the bond bids be referred to the City Auditor for checking and report back, <br />seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 3143 TO VACATE PORTIONS OF a public utility easement (Request <br />of Mr.-Fisbher, 3695 Brandy flock Way). The hearing was declared open, the affidavits of publication <br />and posting were ordered filed. There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman Fields moved the <br />public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Hetkner and carried. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 3160 VACATING PORTIONS OF A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT was offered by Councilman Royer, <br />seconded by Councilman.Stehle and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Rosselli being noted <br />absent. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION OF INTENTION N0. 3136 TO VACATE A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT ACROSS LOTS 4 AND 5, <br />BLOCK 1, FARM HILL N0. 3 (request of Burton Turner). The hearing was declared open, the affidavits of <br />publication and posting were ordered filed. There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman <br />Granger moved to close the public hearing, seconded by Councilman Fields and -carried. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 3161 VACATING A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT was offered by Councilman Herkner, seconded by <br />Councilman Stehle and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Rosselli being noted absent. <br />REPORT ON BID OPENING, JONES COURT IMPROVEMENTS. The following bids were received: <br />Douglas & Woodhouse, Redwood City $36,781.25 <br />Co J. Wood, Belmont 40,731.00 <br />,Ala -Clara Construction Company, Sunnyvale 44,044.00 <br />(Engineer's estimate, $41,405.00) <br />Councilman Granger moved to postpone consideration of the construction bids until after the public <br />hearing on Jones Court, Seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED JONES COURT IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, per Resolution of Intention No. 3120, adopted <br />June 27, 1960. <br />Since the City Auditor had not yet reported back on the results of the Bond bids for Jones.Court, the <br />Council went on to the next agenda items. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 3162 BEING A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO MC017Y AND AMEND PROCEEDINGS UNDER RESOLUTION OF <br />INTENTION NO. 2882, BAYSHCHE INDUSTRIAL PARK NO. 1, was offered by Councilman Fields, seconded by <br />Councilman,Stehle and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Rosselli being noted absent. <br />
